I see that other site have done a lot on their sites and was wondering if I can proceed with the training and come back when I have done the same

I have moved my rubix site to the new domain I purchased but my new domain looks kinda plain. Is that normal or do I have to do something.?
Sounds like you have already downloaded your site; You are the boss, the look depends on you, now you are a premium member follow the certified training step by step, and you are on your way. if not follow the advice below. and alert us of your success.
you have to import your site. Go to dashboard tools/ export to your old site. Then download your website to your hard drive. Then go to new domain dashboard/tools/import and then import the website from you rhard drive.

Moved to my new domain but it plain?

How do I edit my domain name on an excisting domain. Not the one I paid for but the one i created using site rubix
Domain Names can not be changed ... you can, however, create a second "xxxxx.SiteRubix.com" domain. Then as @thecatherine suggests in her comment, copy the contents from the old domain to the new.
Domains are registered in a global index and once created are not editable ...
