Hi,
In my Dasboard, when I go to 'Pages' -> 'Home' -> Edit -> then I see my posts in the homepage.

Whereas when I 'Visit website' or go to Dashboard -> Cu

So if im correct your concern is that your posts you have in your home page tab is not actually showing up on your home page?

If this is correct it is because your homepage is set up show only your latest posts which is known as a static page. To correct this you have to copy what you have in your home page dashboard and transfer it to a post. Its another tab on the left hand side of the back office dashboard. It works the same way as your pages but will post to your blog roll and show up on your home page.

let me know if this works for you or if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply - my website is:
www.holidaytravels.org
Your initial thoughts will be valuable - thanks
Rupak

Did you change any static page settings? What is you website ULR I will take a look and see if I can figure out the problem you are having.

Hi Mack
Thanks for the response.
Your suggest worked - all new content needs to be input as a post - which I did - and I now see it in the homepage. Good!

However, I don't want it as a 'Post' - I want it as normal website text.
Please advise.

My website is:
holidaytravels.org
Thanks
Rupak

To do this you would have to create individual pages for each post. If you want to use your home page you would have to remove it to a static page. To do this in the back office go to the settings tab on the left hand side then to the reading tab. From here you can change front page displays from your latest posts to a static page, then select the page you wish to see from the selector bar below called front page.

If you follow the training here, you will learn how to use Wordpress to write a post. If you have specific needs to put text and images in a particular way, you can use the plugin Elementor which has widgets you can add to add your content to.

Thank you very much for referring the 'Elementor'. I'm able to work now with it. I might not have explored WordPress enough maybe so didn't find the same convenience.
Thanks again (littlemama)

No worries, you're welcome. :)

Hi,
While creating earlier websites on other hosts (Weebly, etc) I saw widgets (image, text, line, ...) on the website-content-creation menu - for easy drag-and-drop use. I

You're just not seeing the widgets menu.

In your Wordpress admin area, go to Appearance > Widgets, there you will see all the different types of widgets to use.

Where are the user friendly widgets?
