I have a question regarding new comment system. I requested comments on my blog and received them. Now, what should I do? Should I comment exactly on those blogs that I received

Offer comments using the system, this way you will earn credits for your activity and you will be matched up with people that have similar interests.

You cannot request 10 comments without giving 20 comments first, when the system was initially launched it was wide open though and that is likely why there is some confusion here.

Thanks for asking this @rufat, this has helped me looking forward.

To tell the truth, I haven't checked out the new Comment System but it looks like Kathy has you covered.

In chat last night Kyle said at the moment you can request comments for "free" but soon you'll have to "earn" a credit by commenting on someone elses site. You need 2 credits to request a comment so the system can't really be abused.
With this system you don't need to return a comment, as Tanja Rita said, you'll get sites to comment on based on the interests you've chosen.

I've figured it out already. Anyway, thank you very much Kathy.

Lol, ok! :)

You can set up your profile and if a site shows up that is beyond what you what to comment on you can just cycle past it.

The system is set up as you earn credits they will go for the site you are using the email for. I have two sites so I'm receiving credits for both using two seperate email addresses.

This is the pay it forward that Kyle was talking about you do 2 and you'll get 1 back. You do not have to reciprocate you just go get more credits, this way everybody does 2 for 1 keeping the system fair.

With the old system it was like 4 to 1 where some people where only taking and not giving.

I would also think but Kyle will clarify I'm sure when he replies to your PM that the more out standing credits you have the more your site will show up to get a reply for comments.

Thank you Travis. I tend to think that system is set up to work exactly as you explain.

The best way to do it,if someone request for comments,if you feel you can not leave constructive comments, you can let it be and look for a site you can properly comment on.

Hello Rufat!
You are one of those that gives some really good comment to work with.
But so far I am inside the comment thread is in Boot Camp lesson 7 and it's where I get most of my comment reciprocated.
My point is that many of those who ask to exchange comments have not written articles so long and they will in many cases have little hard at providing a very good comment.
I do not know if it's a little naive of me, but I thought that people also have a chance to learn how to give a good comment.
My comments were not the best at the start

Hi, that's a very good question! =)

What I do is as follow :

- When I see I got comments, I click on the person's website and review it. I always spend a while looking for an article that inspires me and that I know I will be able to comment with honesty and value.
You don't want to leave an ordinary comment like 'great article, well done" because it won't count as a good comment for google.
Honestly, it takes me time to leave comments, because I need to review the whole website, find an article that inspires me, read it thoroughly, note something that I found interesting or that I could relate to... and then write down at least 3-4 sentences.

- Sometimes I just go through the "share your beautiful content" area and pick websites that sound interesting to me and leave comments there. The people I have left comments to usually return the favor automatically!

Hope this helps
Cheers
Sarah

Hi agree with you and I do the same, it is better to search for sites you know you can give an honest and valuable comment, than to leave "bad" comments on many. I do take a lot of time too. But I've had many instances where I comment on people who say they'll return favour and they don't. And this week there have been plenty. But anyway....

I believe rufat is talking about the new comments system SiteComments. I don't know very well how it works, but you choose niches you are interested in, you comment and then you get credits. But how you get yours back is not very clear to me yet. If they comment back on yours it's similar to Share Your Beautiful Content, only difference being in that you have selected the niches you are interested in commenting, which leads to better comments to everyone.

I think it works as follows: If you earn credits then the system rotates your site and puts it in front of others who want to earn credits and comment on other blogs. If you don't have enough credits your site will stop showing in the system at some point or will show rarely and you won't get enough comments. I hope Kyle will post his reply here in a day or two. I sent him pm.

Lets hope he clears all these doubts.

It's exactly as I said. I tried it.

The way I understand it is that you should leave a quality reply to these comments. Then go back to the site comments page and click on leave a comment. The system will automatically generate a site for you to comment on based on the interests you have chosen.

It seems it is as you describe it. I just did it, requested comment and made a comment on the site which appeared. It seems it was for the same person to which I commented, but this was just by chance because of the interest I set up in my profile, and/or because it was perhaps the only one available.

Yep pretty much. Just be mindful of which page on someones site you're leaving comments on. Someone left two comments on my site on different pages...and one was on my privacy page XD

I'm afraid that some people may abuse the system by requesting (receiving) 10 comments and returning zero comments.

I think you need to earn credits by commenting in order to request comments. That kind of system would make sense.

Do you think this is still possible? I thought this was somehow prevented in the new system.

It works on the same pay it forward credit system as site feedback

no, I received a few comments today without offering any in return and now I'm going to return

I hope, I asked Kyle and waiting for his reply. I think he will post his reply here.

Yeah I think you're right, it does seem there are some bugs in the system. I just tested it out and requested comments without having done any more on my own first for credits and it went through

You are right. I hope they will improve it.

I'm sure they'll work out the bugs as I imagine they probably had similar issues when they first started the site feedback feature as well. Until then I guess we're on the honor system XD

One thing I do like about the new comments feature though is being able to approve/reply to comments from here on WA as I cannot login to the backend of my site when I'm at work

thanks Tanja

Pay Per Click Marketing
Updated

Hello everyone,

I would like to share with you some experience that I'm having with my site and ask a question. Some of my pages that are receiving targeted clicks from

100% bounce rate is high, but out of how many clicks? I also agree with Marion Black that this might be a bot issue.

does bounce mean that a visitor left my page without reading it or read but didn't go to other pages?

Bounce rate is if they leave the page in a certain amount of time without taking any action.

I'm not 100% how that differs from "exit %".

action to other pages or without reading landing page?

I made a mistake. Here's the official meaning: "the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page."

Thank you Nate. One more question/s.

1. If I see a 100% bounce to a particular page and average session duration 00.00 for the same page as per analytics, does it mean that my visitor neither navigated to other pages nor read visited page?

2. My ppc campaign to 6 of my product review pages from 14 to 26 January from Yahoo (154 visits) shows average bounce rate 68%. Is it good or bad?

3. 27 out of 154 visitors from Yahoo read my WA review page. Is it good or bad?

4. My average bounce rate for the same timeframe from Yahoo (154 visits), social (16 visits) and direct (49 visits) to my site shows 57% bounce. Is it good or bad?

5. I always ask many questions. Is it good or bad? :)

Any recommendations?

Thank you

LOL. 1x more questions x5. haha.

1.100% bounce rate with time on page 0.00 means it's definitely a bot, not a person

2. 68% bounce rate is better than I have. It's not "good" but everyone's will be different. Mine is above 70% for my whole site but that's just me.

3. 27/154 is 17%. It's not bad, but could be better. There is no 'magic number'.

4. Same as #2

5. Very Bad. J/K :) Your questions are always welcome. I know you are working hard on your site and I want to meet you in Vegas next year man.

Recommendations: PPC can be a good way to boost referrals but the vast majority of my signups come from search engine traffic.

Thank you very much. Hope to see you in Vegas.

Hi Nathaniell,
Correct me if I'm wrong here.

100% bounce and 0.00 time doesn't mean it's a bot, it could very well be a happy reader spending several minutes reading the review and then, closing the browser, or clicking on an affiliate link or just an external link.

With the default setup, Analytics can only track time if the visitor triggers an event or they visit another page on the site.

But on another note, unless you're filtering out referral spam, you probably are getting bots too.

Hm, I would think that the 0.00 time means the spent no time on the page, which would be impossible unless everyone that visited the page clicked away immediately.

I didn't realize about the time tracking trigger thing, so I could be wrong.

Almost 97% sure that's how it works. You can easily test this on a test site that's not getting traffic but has Analytics setup. (and you're not filtering own IP.

Type page URL in browser, stay on page for 1 minute. Tomorrow you'll see 100% bounce 0 time on site and Exit 100%

Looked it up. You are 100% right :)

Yesterday I asked Jay about visits with 100% bounce and 00.00 time on page and he told they were bots or spiders. What do you think Nate? Seems to be a puzzle? :)

I think if you show Jay our conversation he might change his mind. As far as I understand, if someone doesn't click a 2nd link on your website, Google cannot tell how long they were on the page. It's possible someone was on your page for 1 minute, then clicked the back button or closed the page.

I just run a few different tests on a siterubix test site, will share the results/details tomorrow when the data is returned.

Test was run in new incognito window each time and went like this:

Domain/contact
Paste URL - Wait 20 seconds close browser.
Google search site:domain visit URL page - wait 20 seconds, close browser.

Domain/sample-page
Paste URL - Wait, Click on WA affiliate link on page.
Google URL - Wait, Click on Youtube link on page.

Domain
Paste URL - Wait, Click WA affiliate link widget area.
Google URL - Wait, Click Youtbe link widget area.
Paste URL - Wait, Close browser
Google URL - Wait, hit back button

Thank you for running these tests. Will be waiting.
As of now, I did some search on Google regarding 100% bounce with 00.00 on page and it looks like you are right Welshy. Those visits are actual visits, not spiders or bots. And this doesn't always mean that it's bad. Maybe someone was satisfied with the information and then left the page.

Here are the test results https://monosnap.com/file/HPjpdJPmErY3tBbLvi9pf8iDG1U3je

I posted details on my site about this test, it's shared on G+. I may make a post here at WA while I'm watching my hockey game tonight.

I'm just not sure if it's going to confuse more people than help.

The one problem is, bots and spammy referrer traffic does create stats like this too, so people may misread things.

The best thing to do first is clean up and filter out the spammy referrer traffic.

one thing that confuses me is when it shows 100% bounce and 00.00 time on page that means that he left the page without reading any other page on my website

on the other hand, when it shows 50 or 70% bounce that means that he didn't close my page and went to read some other page on my website. In that case it should show the time he spent on the first visited page on my site, BUT it shows 00.00 time. That's very strange.

Finally, as I understand 100% bounce with 00.00 on page can be both a visitor and a bot or a spider. There is no way to know exactly.

It's confusing, I totally agree.
People can land on your page, read the content, click on a link and it can still be classed as a bounce, but sometimes not a bounce.

If someone lands on a page and visits another page, it will record and give you a time, so if you see 00:00 it or they didn't visit another page, but most likely clicked on a link.

Do you have a lot of pages with the 00 time and 100% bounce Rufat?

FYI, turns out my odd bounce rate numbers are related to the "Google Analytics by Yoast" plugin. probably as it creates events when most links are clicked.

Here are the results when you just add tracking code to header file http://take.ms/8SXNK

yes, many

Where are your customers coming from, there was some stuff going on affecting many members with bounce rate and spam coming from Russia

I know that stuff. My traffic comes from Yahoo

do they not break it down for you to get an overview of what is going on then

It is not always a bad thing when someone only reads one page. It could also mean that they found exactly what they were looking for. If your bounce rate is 50% you do not need to worry as long as you are getting the clicks on your ad.

I'm talking about people that leave without reading 100% bounce rate

you don't know that they are not reading. You get a bounce if they leave the site without clicking on another page. If they are not reading at all then probably you just did not have what they were looking for. Be more concerned about your target audience and provide what they need. You cannot please everyone or else there would be no target audience.

Thanks for your advice

Place a couple of read more text on your site, then people are getting more likely to click a few times, make sure they can click a back button easy as well, ppc clickers only visit for the pay-off

What do you mean by "ppc clickers only visit for the pay-off"?

When you make an add to your site on a site as buxleader or grandbux, the people who are clicking adds will not spend a minute to read your stuff. They click, wait the second they have to, and leave.

I see, but mine comes from Yahoo search (PPC). So, it's different.

Sometime bots pose as people and they visit and leave your website in the blink of an eye. It's a good idea to check which country your bouncers are from because you can block them on a country basis. I'm starting to get more 404 errors in my google webmaster tools. As most of you probably know, 404 errors means a broken link. But in my case webmaster shows me 14 links like this

This may help a little. What is a 404 Error and How to Fix it

Great! Thanks

Hm, it may be a theme issue. If they are not pages you are worried about people seeing, I wouldn't focus on it too much. 14 404's is not much. 404's do not affect your SEO directly, and Google will eventually remove them.

thanks Nathaniell, I see now.

If you are using RSS feed probably some of the feed links get broken after a while. Not sure I can help you fix it though. Sorry. Glyn.

I get 404 errors in my site all the time, they maybe come from webmaster tools,I do not know that but when I get them on my site I delete them right away.

Did you add an RSS feed to your website? I can't think of any other way that the word 'feed' could get added to your link. Where is your website hosted? If it's at WA put in a support ticket. If elsewhere put in a support ticket there. Maybe your website got hacked. Good luck. ~Marion

I have Rss feed on my website by default and yes my site is hosted here.

Try a support ticket. If you're not sure how, type 'support ticket' into the question box at the top of any page.

How can I fix 404 error on my site?

How can I fix 404 error on my site?

If you have some time, can you please read some of my articles and tell me your honest opinion of my English as a native speaker. English is my second language and I want to mak

I certainly agree with Terea and Nathaniell! I have been on sites of those that I know their only language is English and yet they cannot write as well as you! Christa :)

Thank you so much for your opinion

You are very welcome! :)

I read part of #3 you listed and would give you the same advice as nathaniell did. For a second language your English is very good and definitely understandable.

Thank you for finding time to read. I really appreciate it.

If you have read my website you know that I made TONS of errors. I would work with what you have right now otherwise it's going to balloon your budget to have perfect 100% correct writing. Your english is very good, albeit not perfect. Close enough for now man.

I do however suggest that if you want people to proofread and give examples of errors you need to make it easy for them. Link to just 1-2 posts instead of categories, and disable that plugin that prevents copy/paste. You are making people work too hard in order to assist you.

Thank you Nathaniell for your helpful comment. I forgot about that plugin. I disabled it. I just worry about my site and that is the reason I want to make sure that visitors won't leave my site because of some errors.

You need to get them ON your site first! Build traffic so you can see how long people are staying on the page and where they are going after (hopefully to your WA review). First collect the data, then make the necessary changes.

I read several of your pages Rufat and for the most part they are great. However here are a few things that I found on your about me page. Just my thoughts of how I would have written it. Hope it helps. :)
About Me Page

My Mission

Thank you very much Robert. You're really helpful. I will do those corrections right now and THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Wow Rufat, your site has REALLY come a long very nicely and you can see you been working very hard. I like it a lot. I have a question for you. I like the short video you have in the side bar. Is that from Live Face On Web? And If I might also ask, Where are you getting your images and graphics for your site? They are nice and noticeable.

And what Theme is it that you are using?

As for your writing, I have not seen any GLARING English problems.

Thank you for finding time to read my blog. That video intro was done at Fiverr. https://www.fiverr.com/ct_connect
As for images I buy them from http://canstockphoto.com
As for my theme - http://www.solostream.com/

Thank you Rufat for the links.

I noticed a few minor errors, but nothing to worry about. Sorry, too busy to write notes on corrections. Your writing style is friendly, and approachable.I like how you linked your posts. Good job.

Thank you very much for your opinion.

I had a look at a couple of your reviews and they look great.I think your writing skills are very good,I was intrigued by the swag bucks review,I had heard of it but did not really look into it.Although it sounds quite good I just hate installing search bars,I have had my headaches with them in the past and received some nasty viruses through them.I think I will just take a wide berth at swag bucks.

Thank you very much for finding time to read

I didn't have the time to read all of your blogs, (you've been quite busy) but what I did read, reads well. I couldn't tell that English was not your native language.
I did notice that you have a tendency to put several thoughts into a 'run-on sentence'. Meaning a paragraph becomes a sentence, and becomes difficult to follow. Break your thoughts up into sentences and put a (period). Then start another sentence to continue the thought.

I hope that makes sense. English is my native language and I still have difficulty writing. ;^)

Thank you for reading. I really appreciate it.

I looked at a couple pages on your site and your English isn't that bad, however, there are some errors. You might consider having your pages & posts proof read by a native speaker before publishing them. I know there is a "Proof Reading & Editing" category at http://fiverr.com, whre you can find someone to do this for you. That will cost you a little money however.

1.can you please show me a couple errors so I can understand better
2. Do you think they are critical and you would leave my site?

I can show you what I saw but it will be later today. No I don't think its critical, just some sentence structure and missing a word or two here and there....nothing major.

Thank you Jason. Would be very kind of you. Will be waiting and thank you very much.
