Just started my site and have a few posts, I'm aware it'd be pointless to sign up to any affiliate programs yet because I have zero traffic. Only started a few days ago.
It varies. If you're pumping out a post after post and your site looks pretty decent, you can start sooner. That said, I'd say the 3+ month mark is a good metric to use.

Hey Robert, the Amazon uk program is quite relaxed compared to the US version. So you could join that one now if you wanted. I did. The Main Amazon.com associates account will expect 2 qualifying sales within 6 months. Typically due to the number of applications they get. I would wait until you start seeing traffic personally.
