This appear on my website;
"This theme recommends the following plugins: TopBar Call To Action and WooCommerce.

it depends wheter you need those plugins
do you need a topbar or woocommerce
if you are not setting pu a shop then don't bother with woo if you don't need notices at the top of your site then don't bother with topbar
but i would be looking for a theme that doesn't require other plugins to be complete....
there are over 7000 themes available
at the start keep it simple and don't complicate your site - a plain back ground with a central column of text and images for the posts
you are going to be answering problems within your niche - and that is what they are coming to your site for...the dressing can sometimes get in the way....

i would recommend astra, oceanwp or generatepress themes
when looking for a theme you are looking at the style rather than the sample images on there...

Hi, they are additional plugins to run theme selected correctly, however I would make a note of them, case in future I do not like it and wanting change it then I know what came with it.
No harm installing and activating.
