Battling Self Doubt
I've been reading people's blogs and I am quickly learning that lots of people struggle with self doubt as they first get into this. So I do not feel alone. But those feelings are certainly real. The little thoughts that keep popping up:
- Why would people come to my site if there are so many other alternatives?
- How much needs to go into my site before someone actually comes to visit it?
- Will I ever get a sale? Am I doing this right?
- Is this too subtle? Is this too "scammy" sounding?
- Am I stretching myself too thin?
Life is chaotic for me at the moment. I am finishing up my PhD in Economics while being a single mom. So how can I possibly want to fit this in? Well, these are my biggest reasons:
- In the short-term, I really need the extra money to help fill in the gaps while in grad school on one small salary.
- As much as I like the field I am in, the job prospects will likely take me far from my loved ones (personally unacceptable). I want to make sure I have a solid alternative.
- I want to create a nest-egg that can I can be proud of and something I can pass along to my daughter.
I believe that hard work brings results. It's brought results for me in the past. But I also see that the people that are successful in this business seem to be 100% invested with their work time. Can I do this with everything else going on?

Nice post here. I would take it slow and not get too overwhelmed. I have been on WA for three months and am a complete turtle but just take one small turtle step at a time. First was just building my website as far as getting pages and a few posts. Then I moved on to keywords and understanding those. There really isn't alot to this but to create a content related to your niche. I wish you the best on WA!
Thanks so much. It's hard to take my time when I am excited to get started! I have been doing the training and suddenly realizing the time and energy it takes to make quality content!
It does take time but it's best to not look at it with time restraints. Every post you do will build on top of the next so it's definitley something that takes time. Even a few quality posts can get you moving in the right direction. I am using Bing ads now to get referrals to WA which amazingly has got me 5 referrals in the last couple days. But I just learn littlle by little and don't try and absorb everything at once. Just take it one day at a time:)
Can you help me understand what Bing Ads are and how to get started with them?
I could if I could show it to you. Its kinda hard to just explain...lol
