If I save a post as draft and do not publish on website 1, can I move that post to website 2 (not functional) later this week, without incurring a duplicate penalty? Thanks

Oh... I'm learning something new everyday...
May I ask a couple of questions related to this.
If I published some content and later decided to
1) delete some of the content from my website and transfer them to another website, or
2) delete the published page/post and use the same content in a new page/post in the same website later
Will that be regarded as duplicate content?
Thank you.

No. As long as one is deleted.
So you can transfer and delete.
You can Publish one and delete.

Thanks, upsgirl. Good info to know. I appreciate the response.
Rozz

Hi suetay,
Good questions!
Good answers!
Thanks for your input. I too am learning everday.
Rozz

Thanks, Deidre!

Hi Rozz, thanks for starting this discussion. :)

Hey, you're welcome! I have been reviewing a lot of websites and for most, spending hours...perhaps, I will take a look at yours here in a bit.Still trucking along? Making the big bucks?!

Lots of fixing to be done, hence my questions here!

The thing is you say that but I knwo your strength so I think you're just testing us...lol!

Looks like some good advice came your way. Good luck with your website.

Thanks for the response, Larry. Best wishes ti you as well!

If it's not published then it's not duplicated "out there".

Thanks MarineMom,
Good info! I bookmarked it.
I quess my specific question is, 'will the unpublished draft create content to duplicate?
I need to work on the post, adding images etc. using wordpress (website) today. Can I do so, draft, and move later without a problem?

As Chris said, if it's not published it is not duplicated in cyberville.

MarineMom,
I understood Chris, but did not know your specific answer.
Thanks. I got lost in the (good) info of your article.
I, now, feel safe and will use the draft method.
Thanks,
Rozz

It will change the permalink which will show up to google ad the old link will give a 404 error as page not found.

Thanks EKautz,
Is the permalink created even in draft mode? And if so, can I correct it?
I need to work on the post, adding images etc. using wordpress (website) today.

If you are n draft mode then no worries ... Do whatever you chose.

Once published is when you will have the or a problem.

I created a bunch if pages that I thought I'd use and then went another direction and did not need those pages.

I deleted them ... Nearly the same as moving them as the result is a broken permalink which Google doesn't like.

Again if you've not published you are ok.

RICK ON!

EKautz,
You are great! Really appreciate it. Thanks
(Hope you got those issues mentioned straighten out).
Happy Sunday!
Rozz

Thank you Rozz,

I need to fix 10 pages that I deleted because my webmaster tools have errors.

Love you Rozz .... And all my fellow WA community members!

I am trying to add an amazon text link in a blog post. I have an excellent tutorial by Leoemery,

If you know how to get the link from Amazon, you can just keep it in visual mode and add that link to regular texts. Just add it like you would any other affiliate link.

Hello John, Trust that things are well with you.
Thank you for always responding. The help here is great!
Thanks to all, I now have a link that works.
It was so good of you to check!
Rozz

Hahahaha, I'm glad you fixed that problem. I just know how it is to get stuck with a problem that requires a simple solution. Don't worry, you'll get to the point where you're doing everything without running into these little speed bumps. You're doing great though, so good job so far!

to my blog post? I have already added the WA link, but do not see MY personal affiliate link (characters) anywhere in the url. i did update. It is a blog about WA, so how will I

As john says you can find it if you click on the aeroplane, this is the direct link https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/links
Also, every post here has your affiliate link in it, I've shown it in this screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/kt6Z1Vku2Nat

Thank you Kathy!
I finally see, and understand, how it is done,
Did not see it until now.
As always, my sincere thanks for the immediate and special help. I really appreciate it! It makes a difference...
Rozz

You're welcome. :)

If you take your link directly from here, it will have your affiliate link in it. Go to the little plane up top and your unique link will be there. Are you doing the bootcamp? If so, there will be a lesson on adding "pretty links", which will disguise your links on your blog.

Hello John,
Thank you for your response! I see the link after the click.
Yes, I intend to do bootcamp...have looked around, clicked and answered a few things therein.
I am hurrying through Starter Course 3, more actively, at the same time!
In short, doing both!
Can I do that?

Hahahaha, you can definitely do both, and they both work great. Personally, I would try to focus on one so that you don't get confused.

I see your point:)
Thanks
Rozz

Best to start after the 4 courses of foundational classes? How and where to best start? Thanks for any insight

Strap,
Thanks for your response!
I should stop the 'Get Started 4 set of courses' or complete them before starting the Affiliate Bootcamp set?
I am tech challenged.

As Strap already said. If your niche is "make money online" and you want to promote WA, then it's good to go through the Affiliate Bootcamp.

The Starter Course covers a lot of basics on how it all works here. This is recommended to those which haven't created a website/blog before and barely know WordPress or anything related to that.

Yes, the Starter Course is targeting any other niche besides make money online, but it still educates you and gives you skills which will be of benefit later on with the Affiliate Bootcamp.

In the end you can get started with either one of the courses, but since you mentioned you're a bit tech challenged, I'd recommend that you go at least through Course 1 + 2 of the Starter Course before you get started with the Affiliate Bootcamp.

I hope this helps and reach out again, whenever you have a question and/or need help with anything.

All the best.

Thanks Nicole,
Yes, I understood what I was told by Strap. No problem there,
He confirmed the course.
You answered the follow up question.
From both your answers I found the answer I needed, My professions are in the medical and legal field. So, I am in the 'barely know Wordpress' group...progressing nicely however!
I have decided to spend another week or so in the Starter courses. Although I am ready to begin Affiliate Bootcamp, for me, a few more foundational lessons seems best.
Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate it!
Rozz

That sounds like a great plan, Rozz. Always remember to stick to the training and don't work ahead. You'll make so much more progress this way.

I'm happy to here that I could help you. Looking forward to seeing you succeed and if you need any help, let me know. :)

All the best,
Nicole

Thanks so very much Nicole. Another good tip!
Thanks
And all the best to you as well,

You're very welcome and I can't stress enough about it. Reach out if you're stuck and need help. :)

To pick up where you left off in the training, use the green "Get Started Here" button as tommydillard suggests.

If, on the other hand, you want to see a list of the items that you've "favorited", click on the star symbol at the right end of the WA search box. A list of those items will open up and you can select the one you're looking for.
