TikTok 101 - Using Your Camera
Filming your video for posting on TikTok is not difficult. You choose what is the best way to film the video. You can do it with your mobile phone or any other camera of your choosing.
I use my mobile phone. It is the "shortest" route to publish your video, and today's modern mobile phones, have superb optics for great-looking videos.
Speed and Flip
You can adjust the video speed easily from the controls in the TikTok app on your phone. Use the slider at the bottom of the screen to select the speed that suits your video.
And just like in FaceTime or similar apps on Android phones, you can flip between the front and back cameras as you like with the touch on the icon on the TikTok screen.
Filters, Timers and Flash
The TikTok app has also easily reachable control for Filters, Timers and the use of the Flash in low light conditions.
To find the Filter setting, Just study the TikTok screen and you will find the filter selection on the right-hand upper side of the screen
Timers can be used if you want to start filming when you have gotten into position. The control can also be found on the upper right-hand side of the screen.
Filing in low light conditions requires the use of the mobile phone´s flash. The control is easily accessible from the same place on the screen as for filters and timers. However, it is not available in selfie mode.
Sounds
Sounds are easily added to your videos. You can add them before you start filming, making it easy to sync the video and the music. It is also possible to use music timers to sync music to your video.
If you are using a video that is uploaded to TikTok it is a breeze to add sound to it afterward.
The sound control can be found in the lower left-hand corner of the screen in the app.
Have a great day!

Roy, thank you for sharing this.
As you build your presence on TikTok, I am doing the same on YouTube.
I also use my camera, which has an excellent camera.
I am going to upgrade soon though.
Perhaps a Samsung A73. 🙂
You should do some tutorials - please.
Cassi
So far I have been using my smartphone, but have just started recording video for my youtube channel, which I hope to launch for real in not to many weeks ahead.
For YouTube I am using my compact camera, a Panasonic Tough-5.
I am working on tutorials as we speak, Cassi.🤓

Hi Roy, I've reached a level where I have to make a trial run of a video. It's scaring the life out of me as I don't particularly appreciate talking on facetime or anything like that. I'm not too fond of it.
Thank you for sharing your updates on TikTok.
You are welcome, Yvonne. My first video was making a video to be used in one of my funnels, on a bridge page, I think I used 1 evening ( about 3 hours) to get it right, but it felt so good having done it. it tears down any blocking walls you might have, permanently :-)
Go for it, Yvonne! Tell yourself that you are made for it, convince yourself :-)
Roy
I'll try my hardest Roy.
