The Strong Accept Responsibility

“If we judge as good and evil only the things in the power of our own choice, then there is no room left for blaming gods or being hostile to others” - Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 6.41

Are you procrastinating? Doing other stuff every day than your needle movers?

I will answer the question for you… Yes, you do! Be honest to yourself and admit it.

I know I do and I am not an exception. The important thing is to recognize that you are doing it and then do something about it.

The Buck Stops Here

The American President Harry S. Truman had a sign of his office desk that read;

“The Buck Stops Here”

It is a powerful statement with a tremendous impact when you get it. I am going to ask you one thing that will give some clues to the meaning of both Marcus Aurelius writings and Harry S, Truman's desk sign;

Are you accountable to yourself every day?......🤔

Or are you blaming others or external circumstances for not having the progress you want in what you have started?

Harry S, Truman knew and understood that sitting in the office of the President of the USA, gave him awesome power and control over everyone else in the world.

And he also understood that he couldn’t blame any other, for anything good or bad than himself….

He could not pass the buck to anyone else. The Oval Office was the end station.

We are presidents of our own lives. We cannot control events or things outside our sphere of reasoned choice, We can control our attitudes and our responses to what is happening in our lives. We would be well served to adopt and nourish the same attitude.

Start Writing Already

Stop procrastination and just start writing about anything! It doesn’t matter if it is about your niche or whatever. It will help you get into the habit of writing.

What should you do then? Easy answer….

Start writing already!!

Your content is what gets you from A to B. There are many examples to this on the WA platform and there are a lot of examples elsewhere.

Who is getting the most likes, love’s and comments on different social media platforms? Who is getting the most visitors to their websites?? And I mean organic traffic…..

It is people that are putting their content out there frequently with content of value that attracts interest. They put pictures, short posts, long-form, tutorials, reviews, sharing of great resources and more.

Understand that writing is a core skill we need to master in our game. Writing is a core skill within your Primary Field of Interest (PFI), which in my case is affiliate marketing by blogging.

Which by "coincidence" is the primary method that Wealthy Affiliate is teaching us

Some Final Words

I hope that this finds you well on a Saturday morning (for me it is 9:30 AM). I got up at 7 AM, took a shower, walked the dog, meditated, planned my day, got a fire going in our fireplace in our living room, read my Stoics, High 5’ed myself, and wrote this blog post.

What do you do to keep going when your mind goes blank, and you feel that you have nothing to write about or do to keep the momentum in your online business going?

Leave a comment and tell me and the rest of the WA community 😊

👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Wishing you an awesome “sat” of the ongoing “frisatsu” (Jeff Brown) :-D.

BTW. Did I say that I love you guys😃! The WA community is my family and an awesome resource to tap into in every possible way! Do not underestimate the power 💪of engagement in the community.

It is so important to keep moving ahead on necessary tasks. I've started something that I find helpful. In my day-timer, I list all the tasks that are necessary for the day. Then I have little small breaks I put in to refresh me...I play the daily round of solitaire games on Microsoft. I think there are 5 of them, and I space them throughout the day. I also have a game I like to play on Facebook, and usually do it right before turning off the computer. Then, unless I'm trying to meet a deadline, I try to vary my activities during the day so nothing gets too wearing. It works pretty well.

That is an awesome framework for getting your tasks done! I love it :-)
I have a similar routine and use a Pomodoro timer app to help me slot in breaks of 5 minutes between each working session.

This is great, Fran 😊

Hello there, Roy, being a while I posted on one of your posts (not being online for a while). How is social media going lately- I am still learning the ropes here.

Anyway, great post and well written. Accepting responsibility is what makes the person- my grandpa told me this many decades ago and it has served me well- both the good and wrong choices. It is one of the reasons after enrolling here I am still here on WA, seeing this till the time the good times come.

I haven't been very active on WA lately myself Chris due to private issues. Good to hear from you again!

Thank you for the feedback on the blog post. I have been raised, like you, to take responsibility for what I undertake during my life. This has been emphasized through my military career and has served me well.

I am in this for the long run, and even if there are dark clouds everywhere at the moment, I see clear skies approaching. I believe that 2021 will be the year for big things :-D

Happy Frisatsu, Roy! 😎🌞👍

Thank you for a most excellent post, my friend!

I take responsibility for all of my actions, both the good and the irresponsible!

When I am not writing, then I go to any one of my myriad tasks and get to work on it! When I'm driving around and experiencing my day, then I also take copious images throughout, then select the prime ones and write a blog post around them!

I'll do the same on my sites when they are up and running!

A picture is worth a thousand words!

Jeff

Thank you Jeff :-D.

You are definitely taking responsibility for your actions. Sharing your daily tasks and chores are inspiring!

And yes, pictures are awesome storytellers 💯

Roy

You're very welcome, Roy, and I appreciate the kind sentiments!

Have an excellent remainder of Frisatsu, my friend!

Jeff

Roy

Great blog post, Roy!

That's true, we must take responsibility in writing our content whether it could be based on your niche or your everyday life. 😊

Have a great weekend ahead!

Myra

Happy that it found you well, Myra. Have a continued awesome weekend!
