I have started to dive into IG Reels, the new trending feature of Instagram. And what do you know...... If I didn´t know that I had logged into my Instagram account and preparing an IG Reel, I would have thought I was in my Tik Tok dashboard instead🤔...

If Instagram is not going to get into some juridical entanglement with Tik Tok in relation to this, then nothing will. At first look, It is a copy of Tik Tok.

Removing The Watermark

Back to the tip of the day. If you aim to repurpose content published on Tik Tok, you need to remove the Tik Tok watermark on your videos. On Instagram, you have to. Without having read all the terms and conditions for using Instagram Reels, you are either getting your new IG Reel removed or "downranked" if the TikTok watermark is still there.

Here is how to remove it, and don´t worry it is quick and easy:

• Grab your Tik Tok post URL,
• Go to Snaptik.app in your web browser
• Paste your URL into "Snaptik.app"
• Click Download and the removal of the watermark is done in a second or two
• Right-click to download the video file that is shown in the next browser menu
• Add the video file to your picture library on your mobile phone
• Upload it and publish it to Instagram Reels

Difference In Method Between Android and Apple Products

There is a difference in using the tool if you are using an Android phone or an iPhone. On an Android phone, you can download the finished video from Snaptik. According to Snaptik, you cannot do that on an iPhone due to Apple´s security policy. A description on how to proceed if you are using an iPhone

I have an iPhone and to deal with the security restrictions imposed by Apple, I have used the method described in the bullet list above.

If you have an Android phone there is an app called SnapX that you can use to remove the watermark on your TikTok video
