Practice Makes Perfection

I have been trained from childhood to put into practice what I learn and learn from what I practice. My mentors, my father, both my grandfathers and grandmothers, my teachers at school, my instructors in martial arts, my instructors in cross-country skiing, my instructors in flight school, my search and rescue squadron, at the air force academy and air force staff school, all of them has "preached" the same method.
Some examples:
- can you fly a helicopter by only reading the manual and books on aerodynamics?
- can you drive a car without practising?
- Play the guitar without learning and practising the chords on the guitar?
- Build a website with only reading about it?
- Become an expert in affiliate marketing after binge-watching the OEC or Bootcamp training in WA?
Skills Need To Be Exercised and Honed To Be effective
The answer is already given. I see so many starting with affiliate marketing, believing they will see immediate commissions, without doing the "dirty work" at first.
And when the commissions don´t appear, the blame is thrown at the platform providing the training, like Wealthy Affiliate, accusing the platform of being a scam and teaching methods that are outdated and don´t work.
The recipe isn´t difficult. Learn the basic skills, like the OEC teaches, apply the basic skills to your website and your website content, rinse and repeat. That´s it.
If you want to succeed in online marketing follow the Stoic philosopher's advice;
Learn, Practice and Train!
No reason to procrastinate any longer. Just sit down and start doing it!

Making the transition to doing things by second nature is worth the energy investment. Being the eternal student can be very helpful as well.
Unfortunately in this space many of sales pitches create false expectations, people are set up to fail from day one.
After beginners shock, settling down and following through can be the start of the good stuff.for sure.

So true Roy! Just like first Aid too. You cannot learn it just by watching a video. You need to get hands on.
I have been in training since childhood, but it has been good training all the way. But I sometimes forget that not all have been as fortunate as I, having had a good "team" of instructors and role models to guide me throughout life.

Roy , I have to support you 1000% it won't fall from sky like rain , we have to work very hard , maybe after 2 to 3 year then you can relax and definitely not relax too much, first post and page have to get updated along with plugin , even apps and some service will be updating and we have to keep up with the pace, so you are absolutely right ,we have to practice what we learned to improve our business , nice one Roy very informative post
A great addition to the post, Hentley. It takes time to build our business. Taking care of the websites is one of the crucial ones.
Setting up a schedule, even if it is only 1 hour or 30 minutes each day, will take you to where you want to go.
