Facebook - Importance of Your Name and Photo

What is the first thing you usually notice when you see a post on a person´s timeline on social media, especially Facebook?

For me, it is the profile picture and the name of the author, and I am pretty sure that it is the same for you. The first impression can make it or break it, so it is crucial to get it right in the first place.

The importance of this one thing cannot be highlighted enough as it could determine the long-term success of your content marketing.

Do this right, and you will be recognized as a person sharing his passion and content that you are consuming yourself.

When you have this element right, it isn´t that important if you mess up the other four elements I mentioned in my previous post about Facebook.

When you start out few people know you on Facebook, so all the 5 factors mentioned in my previous post are important to build a good reputation. But, after some time, people will recognize you by your picture and name, your brand. So, if they see that and know that your posts always shares something of good value, they will return again and again and seek out your other content.

Bottom line, always remember to use a clear photo of yourself and your name or brand to be 100% sure that your audience knows who you are.

Have a great Saturday!

Roy

Good morning Roy,

I hope you're doing well, thank you for your blog post.

I always think it's good to have a good picture and name next to our profile. I believe that people want to know who they are talking to. A clear name and profile picture definitely helps.

I am much more likely to respond to a social media post if the writer has a clear picture and name. I'm not that keen on responding to someone's pussycat or a picture of a tree!

People want to know that they are dealing with someone genuine. Over a period of time, we start to get a picture of who someone is. I know for a fact that I have signed up for some top Internet marketers over the years. The majority of them I have never met, however, I almost feel like I know them due to their social media posts and regular emails.

Wishing you a great Sunday and all the best.

Roy

You have described the effect of a good picture and the name very well, Roy. I have also signed up for some top marketers and also some top personal growth coaches, and I feel they are good friends of mine.

That is the power of a good picture and a name.

Have a great week!
Roy

Thank you, Roy, I always appreciate your valuable blog posts, I believe that we are on the same wavelength.

Have a great day,

Roy

I couldn't agree with this more. It applies across all SM platforms, not just Fakebook.

Taking it one stage further, I never respond to anyone who has a picture of a cat, child, or anything else other than their face, because coming from a law enforcement background, am only too well aware of how much these profiles are 'tagged by keyword' looking for wrong uns.

Ultimately, I stay away from it and use other business networks

I can relate to what you write, Dave. I tend to shy away from them too.

Roy

Absolutely.. Tyre kickers

Very critical advice for brand recognition above the mad clutter. Thanks Roy.

My pleasure, Hugh. I couldn’t agree with you more.

Roy

Thanks for reminding me to change mine. I think this might be better. Only joking, but I do wish I took a better photo.

That photo is taken several years ago, right? 😄

Roy

Yes, I am even uglier now. Ha ha.

You can't use my picture, Stevoi! 😲🙀

Why not Jeffoi, you look cute. Lol. Forgive me. Total lockdown and bored.
Stevoi.

He looks a lot better than the real me, Stevoi!😳
