Do You Clean Your Email List -3 Pieces of Advice
Do you clean your email list? If you are not you are hurting your business.
- To make it short, when you start building your email list, it is important to make sure that it consists of only "warm leads" i.e. "buyers". If you do not work on your list continuously, your list will consist of a major part of cold leads, keeping you busy without converting into affiliate commissions.
- Cold leads are people doing nothing. They might open and read your email, but that is it. Remove them from the list. This is a crucial rinse and repeat activity wrt email list building.
But few clicks and few opens as well as email list members that result in undeliverable (bounced emails), will hurt your email deliverability, resulting in poorer email marketing performance. - Another reason to work on your list consistently (every day I would say) is to clean out the bad apples on your list. To give you an example why the following is what I experienced yesterday:
Yesterday I got a response on one of my latest email broadcasts to an email list connected to members who have signed up on a marketing platform I am a member of. The list consists only of people that have willingly signed up to that platform.
The email was about a Live training about a way to drive traffic to a product or website you promote via Pinterest. Pure value in getting free organic (warm) traffic to your content in my opinion:
What I got in response to the email was in 2 short words "F.... Y...". I think you know which words I am talking about.
This guy had signed up with two different identities on the platform through my affiliate link, and a third identity he is using on Facebook related to the account on the platform in question.
Clean these people out from your lists and channels, but keep a tab on them so they do not sign up to you with another name and email address.

My pleasure. Email marketing is a new skill that I am trying to learn. It is an interesting part of Internet and affiliate marketing, especially if you are a bit interested in psychology and neuroscience.... which on second thought is a natural consequence of getting involved with marketing.
