About Planning Your Business - Nobody Else Does It

Last Update: January 11, 2021

"If you don´t design your own life plan, chances are you´ll fall into someone else´s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much." - Jim Rohn

We are often growing up in an already pre-planned path to adulthood. A lot of times we follow our parents and end up in similar types of jobs as they have. Nothing wrong with that, but what about getting out of that set path, and design your plan for what YOU want.

At the start of the year, we all have some sort of plan for the new year. Something we want to achieve, but maybe we haven´t been very specific on the details of what we want.

Or we haven´t really thought our resolutions through as to make sure that what we are aiming for is something we want ourselves and not what someone else's dreams are, which makes you just fall into the line behind them and you get nothing out of the new year at all.

A dedicated plan, with details and firm milestones, is crucial. Make sure you make yourself accountable for your goals and plan for the new year. Announce your goals for someone, and follow up with results every week. Create your future the way you want it to become and stick to the plan.

Have a great evening.

I think you are talking about planning so that we can act rather than always react. Good advice.

You are spot-on, Jim. Without acting based on our plan, it can soon turn into a mess and be counterproductive to what you try to achieve.

It is up to me to endure that my aims, objectives and daily goals are up to date. It is no one else's responsibility but mine.

If it is to be it is up to me.
I make sure every day I update my plans and I write the results in too so that I can see where I am drifting off line.

I do a daily plan and weekly one on what I want to achieve, then end of December, I tend to do a yearly one.

Thanks for this post, Roy 😊
