So How Long To Take To Get Views On YouTube?
I was looking at one of my YouTube channels today at the page views, so far it has received 2166 views to be precise! This channel is relatively new and I don't have that many videos on their although over the last couple of weeks I have been trying to add one video a day, I haven't achieved this goal as yet, but I am trying to reach it.
I know that it takes time to get views and that it doesn't happen overnight, but I know that views increase as a channel gets more popular. On another channel I have one video that is received almost 1/4 million views find amazing as did the particularly exciting subject.
I have a few questions to ask.
How long did it take you to make your channel successful?
Did you just keep making videos regularly and gradually the viewing stats went up?
What is the most important action that we can take to be found on YouTube?
What suggestions do you have for a YouTube channel?
How do you increase your subscribers?

Roy I think you should rather do a post telling us exactly what it is you do and post about lol as this is amazing to get 250 000 views on a video and that is a lot of views on a new channel. So yes, please do share with us what steps you actually follow in a follow up post if you do not mind.

Hi Roy,
Well done on getting that many views, I have a couple of suggestions when uploading a video to YouTube or elsewhere.
In the description write your website url at the beginning and the end, roughly 300 words with your keyword in the text three times.
In the meta tags underneath the description make the first one your main keyword and make the second the url of your website or page.Then add about 10 keywords.
Don't forget to post the YouTube link to Google for indexing.

To be getting that many views so quickly is great work, Roy. Are they watching the whole video? I’m curious, because Google say this is the main metric they monitor for ranking a video and I’m thinking to get that many views you must be ranking quite well.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, it looks like about 50% of people are watching the videos all the way through. My total watch time minutes is 11.5 K (this is actually for the past year) I had many months where I didn't even touch my channel!
I believe over a period of time the figures will multiply, there's also quite a learning curve I believe in getting it right.

Just one more thing Steve, my channel is around one year old and so far I have had short bursts of creating videos. So in other words, I make several videos over a week or so and then stop, I don't believe this is helpful for my performance. I'm sure it would be much better if I was consistent even if I only created one video a week or month.
