Gettr Is Getting Better- Two Months Plus In
I just thought that I would give you an update now that I am just into my third month on Gettr.
In case you don't know what Gettr is, it's a social media platform that is almost identical to Twitter. The only difference with Gettr is that you don't get banned if it doesn't suit the narrative! Unfortunately, Twitter has a habit of banning people, undoing likes, removing retweets and removing literally thousands of followers, not clever at all!
Gettr has seen thousands of Twitter people moving over to their platform, which is great news! I like to be on a platform where I can speak freely and where I can debate whether we agree or not. This is what social media should be about, free speech, having discussions and being open to other people's opinions and thoughts!

After two months of being on Gettr, I now have 789 followers and I am following 588 people. My followers have increased by 141 followers on the previous month. I know this isn't huge, but it is a much larger increase than what I would have seen on Twitter.
I'm not particularly active on Gettr, I probably post a couple of times a day. I must admit that I tend to retweet other people's posts more than actually posting myself. Something that I would like to change in the future.
Although at the moment, I would say Gettr is more of a way of getting up to date news. I definitely think it has huge potential for business owners like ourselves to promote our brand. With Facebook and Twitter shares dropping rapidly this leaves room for platforms like Gettr to grow. Users are becoming fed up with being banned and not being able to write freely.
If you haven't tried Gettr already, I believe it's definitely worth setting up an account as I really believe that the platform will grow considerably and rapidly in the coming months.
I have always liked the Twitter type functionality as it's much less clunky than Facebook, although I guess we all have our favourites. It's also much quicker and easier to use than Facebook on a smartphone.
I'm trying to move away from Facebook and Twitter as I would much prefer to support platforms that allow free speech and different opinions.
I believe that there is a messaging system coming into place in the near future.

It's very refreshing to have a platform where we can have free speech and debates on different topics. It's also refreshing, due to the fact that quite a few people that I followed on Twitter were banned from Twitter! They are now over on Gettr and we are all reconnecting, which is fantastic!

I guess with any new social media network, it takes time to build! The more people post and the more people post different subjects the platform should grow.

Sounds good, Roy. I use Twitter every day for basically posting WA
Business posts. Even though I have only 81 followers among those are the CelticWoman. And in the last 24 months with FB, I have been in the FB Gulag for at least 21of those 24 months.

That's a great way of sharing your business posts, I should really do more of that! I'm trying to move away from Twitter and Facebook, I always prefer Twitter as it's very quick and easy to use. Whereas Facebook is much more clunky, plus they seem to change things a lot! I'm trying to move away from Facebook and Twitter as I don't agree with their narrative. We should all be entitled to free speech!
I go under my name on Gettr, so I'm easy to find! I hope you enjoy the Gettr experience. It is more of a news platform at the moment, but I believe the more people share business posts the more it will grow into something big!

It was bedtime when I posted my comment last night but I went on and signed up on Gettr last night. And lo and behold, I had 2 followers this morning when I signed in. And added you also. And now it is 1735 and I have10 followers.

I signed up that night after reading this and today and as of right now 166Following
171Followers and not one Post has been denied or flagged. I signed up yesterday for one called Re-talk, supposed to be Free Speech, Well I was banned from that group yesterday evening and they won't even bother to tell me why. It is different than FB and it has different communities you can post in. I went in one called books and they were discussing the Bible. apparently SOmeone didn't like my comments,,, lol so much for the TRUTH that they try to defend.
