Do You Listen To Someone Who Makes $87,000 Per Month?

I get quite a few different emails from various Internet marketers, I like to try and keep up-to-date with things and it's always interesting to see what other successful Internet marketers are doing. I had an email a few months ago from an Internet marketer to tell me that they had earned around $87,000 in February, which apparently is normally a poor month! This Internet marketer is genuine, in case you're thinking something else!

The reason I mention this is because I think it's very important to learn from successful people and what they are doing. I don't want to take you away from Wealthy Affiliate as this platform has absolutely everything you need to make money online and it is too easy to become sidetracked, which I don't want anyone to do as I have done this in the past, it doesn't work!

However, it's good to see what other people are promoting and by following the right people we can learn new skills and potentially sell their affiliate products, in fact, this is actually what I am doing with this particular Internet marketer.

Maybe the title of this blog post sounds like a scam and I know that there are many scams out there, I have brought into them in the past, it's cost me a lot of money!

The reasons I'm writing this blog post is that I want you to realise the power of the Internet, we have never had so many great opportunities to make money, ever, I believe! Only this morning I was reading this blog post from Wealthy Affiliate, you can see the post below, it is amazing what can be achieved.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/sporkypie/blog/sold-my-first...

The moral of the story is never underestimate the power of the Internet and keep working hard and be consistent!

Thank you for reading.

Roy

I love reading through your experience good and bad. I am a super newbie to internet marketing. I am independently evaluating the power of WA to teach me from A through Z. I aspire to get a rewarding experience here with my hard work. The more you indulge the better you learn. That is all I can say now.

Thank you, Roy. The message you are spreading is important, especially since it is here at WA where scam is taboo. Were I reading this from elsewhere, I’d dismiss it immediately. That is the extent to which I have been scammed! But, especially newbies, we also require to build belief so we can carry on.

Awesomeness!
Mojalefa.

Hiya. There are many successful and vocal people I’m following online. My inbox is a mess with their newsletters and product receipts. I have excel sheets tracking names, products, sites and ideas. It is a mess. But an interesting one!

I’ve mentioned elsewhere that the reason for this oversubscription is to help build a catalogue of online characters and behaviours for my PhD research. Among these, there are definitely some people that deserve to be interviewed for their innovations and great service. The project is only in the early stages, but already, there are some interesting patterns forming.

But from these patterns I note that not all the people who earn very well from their sites are worth following, if you are hoping to do the same. They are not good for your development as a business person, and rather than offering useful insights, often only resell PLR with a huge profit margin.

An example of that came through just yesterday: $11 PLR being sold for $500. It was doubtful from the spiel attached to the more expensive resale, that the reseller had any special business insights to help add value to the transaction, but there it was. Carefully repackaged and marketed. They were earning fabulously from their promises.

I’ve spent a bit of money now sampling and collecting numerous wares and subscriptions for my zoo of ecomm products. Every so often something really makes me sit up and take notice. But there is a boring recurrence of reselling happening at even the very high end of the IM scale, so that I’m not wholly convinced that earnings alone make someone worth following. It often looks to me like a bunch of shovels and picks being sold at great profit to new gold-rush hopefuls.

If you want to learn from the best, copy the best but remix it and make it your own Roy.

Great advice on looking toward successful people for guidance (after you vet them out) who are actually making money and DOING it!

Btw, I previously read Sporkypie's post at an earlier tie, and bookmarked it. Thought it was ultra-inspiring that she built-it from the ground up and sold her website for $28K. She started here the same time as me.

I think it is dangerous to check out other that claim to be making so much money once you have found WA. Since I only have so much time to devote to developing my website here, I would be wasting a lot of time checking out others. Aso, that could really be expensive.
Thank you for your thoughts,
Dottie

We're living in an age where information is in abundance, but there really is a fine line between wanting to learn from others and getting sidetracked as you mentioned.

It truly is amazing that learning from others can just be a click away.

I appreciate you sharing this, Roy. Thank you.

I think you have a very good point,
listening to others and see what they have to offer and
how they offer it. Then taking the time to rethink how I would do it, using their skills, applying what was new (or better than what I do) and put it in the toolbox of great marketing tools.

This way we are inspired and as you say, we can actually monetize their ideas by affiliate their products.

These lessons you teach here are of great value. Thank you for reminding us of that important point.

I like what you said, OddHelge: It's not just looking at what's offered that' important, but how it's offered is just as important. Then I need to figure out how I can use the skills and talents I already have to implement what I learned.

G'day Roy, while it is important for us to be ever cognizant that the WA offering is not a "get-rich-quick" scam, accounts like the one you've just related are important sources of motivation to the newbies (myself) and the long-haulers alike. Thank you for yet another valuable contribution, your posts are now prominent on my "must read list".
Les

There's a clue in what you say, Roy - success leaves clues.
I agree it's easy to become side tracked while we should be focusing on the training here and I'm extremely guilty of that one. But, as you say, it does no harm to observe and learn what others are doing and apply it tandem with what we are learning here at WA. Great post, thanks for sharing :-)
Cheers
Rich

The short answer is yes, as long as they can evidence they are earning that type of income and the strategies they use to do it

For years I have followed one particular US Direct Marketing specialist and his methods certainly work, and one Australian Direct Marketing specialist, who who earns those types of incomes sometimes per sale, which can be verified

Both work well, because i have implemented them and its one reason for being here at WA, so share that knowledge using the WA platform

Would love to know more about the Australian direct marketer you are following, as I’m an Aussie and the content available appears more geared to North America which is totally fine, but a home grown example to follow would be great too! If you get a chance PM me! :)

Certainly Nicole.
