Are You Overwhelmed With All The Training?
Every day I see new people joining Wealthy Affiliate, which is great. The fact that you have actually made the effort to join this great platform means that you are taking a step too change your life.
One of the biggest questions or remarks that I see is people being overwhelmed by all the training. I remember back in 2004 when I first started researching Internet marketing not knowing the first thing about websites or making money online. I had no idea what a URL was, a domain name, hosting, et cetera, the list goes on!
The great thing is that Wealthy Affiliate offers a very clear training programme from start to finish, this is something that I didn't have when I started. I was working totally blind and I was totally clueless about how to make money online, although, I saw the power of the Internet! I actually spent thousands on scam products, (not deliberately) although, some were better than others and I did learn a few things. However, it took me three years to get my first moneymaking website up. With Wealthy Affiliate you can have a website up much much quicker!
I see many people trying to jump ahead of the training, don't do this! Go through every video, step-by-step, take action and ask questions along the way and you will be successful. If you have any doubts about this platform, I can assure you that it is 100% genuine, the training is first class. There are so many success stories that came out of this great platform.
Just the other day I answered a question about making money, the WA member said he didn't understand how to make money online whatsoever. However, he had only been a member for 48 hours! I really don't believe that he had been through any of the training, if you go through the training step-by-step, everything is explained. And if you don't understand, you have the option to ask a question.
I've been self-employed since 1983, I have an off-line business and an online business, please remember that it takes time to build a business. The reason I say, "build a business" is that we literally start with nothing, but each day, (if possible) we build our business step-by-step. I was able to take an off-line business from zero figures to 5 figures in seven months. There is no way that I could have done this without utilising the power of the Internet!
I often refer to the Internet as the businessman's best friend! The Internet has made it so much easier to promote your business, whether it's online or off-line. I know this because I remember what it was like before, trying to promote my business through magazines, newspapers, leaflets et cetera. Now we have the ability to do business in front of literally millions of people, how amazing is that!?
So to conclude, being an action taker, go through the training and if you can, try and do something every day.

Spot on Roy, my overriding message to any body who joins is exactly that...start at the beginning, take each training sequentially, don't miss anything out and ask questions as you go along!
It isn't rocket surgery or brain science but so many seem to want to leap ahead and then wonder why they don't "get" certain things.
Oh well, we'll just need to keep banging on about the message!

When I first started researching Internet marketing in 2004, I really was working totally blind, I was clueless. One of the many things I like about genuine online courses is that they take us through the learning process step-by-step. Wealthy Affiliate does exactly what it says on the packet, it's great that so many success stories have come out of this platform!
I think that unfortunately, sometimes our human nature wants us to jump forward and try and take shortcuts! The problem is that this really works! Thankfully, the training is laid out with short videos and action points, helping everyone move forward.
I believe that there is only one way and that is to go through the training and take action, big time!!

Thank you for the encouragement. I am you. I am 51 years old and I didn’t know what a domain, URL and many other things were. I know nothing about affiliate marketing or marketing period, having or designing a website, I’m new at being a entrepreneur, didn’t know really what a blog was. But I searched online for over a year a way to make money online because I had seen all the success stories and I want that life. I am bipolar and I draw a disability check and I’m tired of living in poverty and on such little means. I’m going to get off SSI. So I decided to do something about it. I seen WA and I went premium the very first day. I knew God had led me here. I’m going make this my home and become a success or die trying lol. I know if you can do it like you did, so can I. I think many of us have struggled online when we first started, it's difficult to know what we are reading if it's right or wrong. Wealthy Affiliate teaches us the correct way to make money online, with action points along the way.

So true, Roy. I also was self-taught for years by free seminars, scouring the internet, signing up to a program where and there. That is how I gained knowledge.

It sounds like we have a similar story, sometimes it's difficult to know what's truthful on the Internet. I learnt the hard way!
It's great to have a straight path to learn from, this is something that we know Wealthy Affiliate offers. It's so easy to waste time on products that don't offer what they say on the packet. Thankfully we are both on the right path now!

A very important lesson is the training. It is essential as one moves through to create an online presence & earn money.
I have been very slow in progressing here at WA, & this weekend have gone back to the start of OEC training to pick up any missed pieces.
I will get there & I will not give up.
