Am I Really Writing 99% More Content Than Others?

Today, this short blog post is about site content and are you using it? In the early days site content didn't seem to work particularly well for me, however, as time has gone on site content seems to have got better! I normally type into a Word document and then paste into site content as this seems to work better for me.

One of the reasons that I like site content is the fact that it gives me a few facts and figures. Even when I was extremely busy with my off-line business and wasn't able to write much content, site content told me that I was writing 99% more than other WA users. This surprised me!

Assuming the figures are correct and I have no reason to believe that they are not correct, does that mean that not many of us are using site content or not writing content at all?

I'm trying to write one blog post per day and create a associated YouTube video, I haven't quite reached my goal yet, however I am very near to my goal.

The particular niche that I'm targeting at the moment is out of season and yet I'm seeing my posts grow tremendously. I'm trying to take advantage of the next couple of months to add content to my website ready for the spring rush! It seems to be working so far and sales are also coming in.

I'm kind of writing this blog post to encourage you to write content. With the stats from site content you can actually set goals, which I haven't actually carried out. However, it's encouraging to see my writing increasing and how many words I am writing per month et cetera.

Thank you for reading.

Have a great Saturday.

Roy

I always use Google Docs and copy/paste it to the site.
It is different from what people like. For me, it is better organized, and it is easier to do it this way because I always spend a lot of time to choose an image that fits well in the post I use.

Hello Johann,

Thank you for commenting.

I believe that Google Docs are an excellent platform, I need to start using Google Docs more as I think they have huge potential and extremely useful. Different platforms work for different people.

Have a great day.

Good observation, Roy. I wouldn't worry too much about the stats, though. Keep in mind, Site Content is a tool. It's an excellent tool, however, it appears by what you've written - 99% underutilized by members. Those who do blog with great frequency, often write directly to the their blog post without using Site Content first.

Also, WA has over a million and a half members (paid and free memberships combined). There are far, far fewer active members, and of those, only so many write regularly. Out of those, many only write once in a while and of those, only some take advantage of all the bells and whistles WA has to offer. I myself visit WA more intermittently than I did a few years ago.

However, I intend to remain a member for years to come, and I never know when I might begin to participate or contribute or start using the Site Content more often. I'm glad you brought attention to it, though. It is very undervalued and underrated!

Take care!
Hal

Hello Hal,

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it's appreciated.

I kind of wrote this blog post to try and encourage people to write more. I hear you big time, Wealthy Affiliate has many members, but the active ones are probably a lot less than we realise, I believe! Even when I wasn't using site content very much, I was still writing 99% more than other Wealthy Affiliate members! I appreciate that many people also write directly into their blog post.

I am also not quite so active on Wealthy Affiliate, I would really like to be able to spend more time reading and writing. However, we have to get our priorities in the right order.

That makes two of us Hal, I also intend to be a member for many years to come.

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

PS: I read your profile Hal, I trust that you're getting back to good health, it looks like you spent your time wisely, great stuff! It also looks like you have some great skills that you can obviously utilise in your online business, which is great.

Hi, Roy -- Not sure how that works...just looked at mine and it says I've written over 100% of what other WA members have done this month. That does not make sense. I think that figure is one we can simply ignore, as long as we are adding content regularly.

Hello Fran,

I hope that you are doing well, thank you for reading my blog post.

That's interesting Fran, if you're writing blog posts every day, I believe that could be true. I am probably averaging about one blog post per day, sometimes I don't do any, other days I will write two posts though!

I actually have a full-time off-line business, so for someone who has more time than me I believe it could be possible?

Apologies for the late reply Fran. Has a very happy Christmas.

Roy

It sounds like you are on your game and I'm sure when the spring rush hits it will be all worth it! Keep up the great work!

I write in site content less and less however I really liked the stats section and the ability to set custom goals.

Good luck, Shannon

Hello Shannon,

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post, it's appreciated.

I have actually gone the other way Shannon, I'm using site content more as it seems to work much better than when I first started using. Just out of interest, why have you stopped using site content so much?

Have a great day.

Roy

Most times I write within google docs and then transfer the content into either site content or directly into wordpress. I feel the formatting ability of site content can be limiting but I've found ways around most problems. I may try using site content more often again and see how it goes.

Take care, Shannon

It is true that some members do not use site content to publish content. But that doesn't take away the fact that you are doing well.
Congratulations.

Thank you Edgar, I appreciate you taking the time to read my blog post.

Have a great week.

Roy
