What "IF" It Was Not My Lucky Day!

Hello fellow Wealthy Affiliates.

Today was a bizzare day, still a bit shocked and can't get over what "IF"!

I was busy writing my article for my website when I heared fire trucks siren, it was around 1pm! I wasn't really paying much attention as I'm used to hearing them from time to time as the fire station is not that far from where I stay!

I looked over the window where I'm sitting to see as its seems they're near our place. It didn't bother me much so I went back to writing my article. After a few minutes I've decided to bring down my two dogs for a walk as I haven't done it in the morning. I do it on regular basis once in the morning and next in the evening.

Upon opening my door I smelled something is burning, I went back inside and peek at my kitchen just making sure if I forgot to close anything. I didn't notice anything unsual so I proceeded to the elevator still smelling burnt object.

After reaching ground floor I was caught by surpise because I saw two fire trucks in front of our building. But I still don't have idea why there are fire trucks down stairs!

I tried to ask someone and learned that one unit on the seventh floor catched fire (what the heck). I really have no clue that one unit under us had catched fire. I am staying on the 12th floor of the same building! No one had warned us whatsoever. Even the fire alarm I think forgot its job or maybe the fire is not that big yet, but what "IF"?
This unit is actually under construction, no one is inside. Not sure though if those workers came in today! I heard that it is being investigated! I do hope nothing like this will happen again. Not knowing that you will get roasted or grilled inside without any clue!

Me and my two chihuahua (not a blog dog yet) went on to do our thing still thinking what "IF"!

The fire fighters went off their way out after subduing that fire on the seventh floor!

Well, I think I'm still lucky the fire did not broke out (big). Believed my life purpose haven't fulfilled yet so I'm still given a chance to live longer. Life is short, we don't know what tomorrow holds so just enjoy every moment!

Keep safe everyone and nice day!

Yours truly,

Rowe

Wow! That is scary! So glad you are safe. But yes - what if?
Glad you were able to get out safely and that your unit was ok.

But like you say life is short and we never know. But each day is a gift to be ever grateful for. And we have one more day to fulfil our purpose on earth.

Keep safe.

Thanks George... couldn't agree more.

Keep safe too.

Thank you we will.

How scary!! There was a major fire here in the UK a few years ago when cladding was to blame. It was in a tower block in South London and many lives were lost. The building was Grenfell and made major news headlines. Glad you and your dogs are ok

Thanks Kathy... I'm glad we're not on the new's headlines.. and I hope the building management implements some strict measures.

Keep safe and nice day!

Thanks Mel.. its a bit scary thinking I'm on the upper floor.

That was almost a tragic incident but glad to hear that the fiŕe was on the 7th floor and you lived on the 12th floor. Well I can relate that because I am living also in the 12th floor of the condo building here in Malate Manila. So what if your very right on what you were thinking. Life is short and we have a lot of things to be done.

Thanks Isabelo.. i kept on musing why nobody had given warning.. but still thankful someone was quick to call firefighters or worse could have happened.
keep safe also.
