Malicious Spammy Threats
Hello Everyone here at WA,
I have received several spam emails ranging from partnership offering millions in capital investment, some SEO offers to increase sales which I just ignore and delete them right off. Just last week (Jan.3) i got an email about a GUEST WRITER proposal which i'm still thinking whether or not to give it a try.
But I was alarmed when I received an email just now so I have decided to write this post.
How Would You React if you Received Malicious Spammy Threats from your Contact Us?
I got this email just now and its quite disturbing. Knowing that I have put a lot of efforts to my website so I'm worried what it can actually do if I just ignore this.
The email add is with .th so the origin is Thailand. But the body of the email disguised by the sender is from Bangladesh including tha signature.
Should I be concerned? I guess so.. but what can I do to prevent this kind of attack?
Activating reCAPTCHA
Immediately after I got the above message I went on to activate recaptcha on my website. Will it be enough to protect the impending attack?
Or it could be just a scare tactic so that I would click on the links? But I'm not that stupid to actually give in and get scared by this scumbag.
Anyways, I decided to post this to get your ideas. Maybe some of you also got these kind of spam emails.. what did you do as a precautionary actions?
Thanks a lot for your inputs.
Best regards,
Rowe

Yes, That is very disgusting and rude. First I would blog him from sending anymore emails to my box I would report it as spam.
You are Welcome also I want to apologize for typing error, I meant to write blocking him from sending You any more email messages not blog . Again I do apologize for the typo error. I got some mail like that a while back and yes, I did block them off and reported it as spam. Haven't seen any more email from that sender since . The threats were simply empty threats. 😎
Hi Rowe,
That is a disturbing e-mail. I don't do any business with anyone who threatens like that. I am not sure what damage they can do, but Simone is right, contact Tech Support, they will know the right steps to take.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks to WA Site Support Team's very quick response.
In case you receive the same email threatening in exchange of your backlink >> JUST IGNORE and mark it as SPAM.
Site Support confirmed it's just a SPAM email and a known issue.
Exactly the same email is circulating so you may get it one day in your inbox. Just ignore and mark as Spam.

Rowe
