Hi rossky, the number 1 ranked SEO is http://www.seobook.com/
They are currently doing and upgrade to site and not taking on new premium members.
However the site is still operating and provides a FREE membership with stacks of information.
If you join the free members they will contact you when the premium is available.
Lots of stuff on their blog.
All the best

Hmmmm... what would be the difference between what your'e asking for and what WA offers in their SEO courses?
Even though you don't get a formal certificate, once you go through affiliate bootcamp and any other course on here, you will be "certified" to hang out your SEO shingle.
Thanks to Kyle and Carson we have one of the most recommended programs on the entire Internet.
I'm a proud member and ambassador of the program myself and a yearly subscriber. With the help of this program and the community I was able to start building two beautiful websites, that are also hosted here by Wealthy Affiliate, and start a career as an Internet Marketer.
I have completed the main course of the program in 2015.

I am getting stuck with the keyword research.

Ross, Love your site. On the keyword tool, I just tried --- have you laughed today. It didn't seem too bad. Don't know if you've used it before or what. Good luck.
Barbara
Thank you for your suggestion, Barbara.
"have you laughed today" is not that bad, you are right. But, let's examine it more closely.
1. Searches - 40
2. Competition (QSR) - 210
3. Article Power - 7.6
a. Only 40 people a month put this exact string of words in the search window.
b. However, there is already a long line of 200 sites that feature this particular phrase in their content.
c. Article power number here is average.
If we go by what Kyle teaches here we need our 'searches' figure to be over 50, and -- as Kyle says himself -- sometimes any traffic is good.
My favorite Boomergp08 recommends in his training that the monthly searches number should be at least as high as QSR. And the lowest he would accept in the article is the power of 8.0
Forgive me for choosing your keywords as an example. I wouldn't write an article for the sake of writing it. I don't want to fill my site with material that nobody wants to read. I need the 'content' that can bring traffic to my site, make my site visible and help me promote my product.
I may have missed something important in the trainings but I hope you understand what I'm trying to accomplish. And I thank you for your input, Barbara!
Thank you, Barbara! I've learned a lot myself.
I love talking birds. Dream to have a cockatoo even though they don't talk to well.
how about writing an article on laughter at children's birthday parties. or send a gift of laughter to a friend who is feeling down. or how laughter is used to cure diseases like cancer. These are just a few ideas but you could come up with many more.
"send a gift of laughter to a friend who is feeling down"
Thank you for your suggestions, Gloria!
You have to be creative about it. I just tried gifts to make you laugh and gifts that make you laugh , both are good.
This one is actually a very good idea! Your brain has a storm power, Gloria!
I thank you for that and that you actually looked at my site.
Another thing which is relevant is that they say now that in order to rank one should not simply write articles but write very long articles, 1000-2,500 words.
Imagine me writing a two-feet long piece on what I just put there in one paragraph.
You can do that. Just simply imagine a child's birthday party. All the kids are there and then it's pinata time and the laughter begins. All the kids are having so much fun. You just tell an awesome story for the parents who will be buying this for their kids. You make it sound like it's the most awesome thing to have at their kids party. And just keep going.
I like the idea, Gloria. The kids respond the best to the laughter recordings that I have. I just need to find a passionate mom the writer who can create a story like this for me.
I would branch out Ross, The more information your website provides the more potential people could come to your site, If you stick to one very specific niche it can be good but as you said, You can get stuck on what to write, The broader the better in my opinion :)
Thank you for your advice, Matteo!
Writing articles may be the cost effective way to market products or services but it is not the only way. I'm afraid if I start thinking about other things I will not be able to focus on the product I already have. That's the dilemma!
I see, Your in a tough situation, Before you make any decisions always write down the pros and cons, That's what I do, I am sure you will soon find the right decision, Even if you make the wrong one, Doesn't matter, You learn from mistakes :)
Will do, Sir. Could be another way to brainstorm the keyword research -- writing 'pros and cons'.
One learns from his/her own mistakes, it is true. That's how we acquire our experience, mostly. I see that you are 19. Just keep in mind that some mistakes may take years to understand fully, yourself. Just as it takes time to build something anew.

How to find the Highest Volume Keywords with lowest competition? Is there a tool that does that?
here is sample of what if gives you I export it and then add keyword to keyword planner which give more fields
Hi Jose! Do those tools allow you to sort the database as I put in my question (Highest Volume Keywords with Lowest Competition)? Or, you have to put in your chosen keyword first?
Semrush has 104 million keywords in their database.
I understand that I can put the word "money", for example, and get all the results with this particular word and then, as you say, sort them the way I please.
What I would love to be able to do is to sort the entire database so I can see what words are getting the most traffic from public but has the least number of competitors that use those words.
Do those tools allow you access to that feature, Jose?

Hello everyone,
Will keyword still work if it's not in the title?
--- update
The keyword can be only one per article.
I understand that if I'm writing
Yes, a keyword not in the title will still get ranked because Google indexes all of your content and will rank you for other keywords within your content and in your comments. Obviously if the keyword is in the title it is better, but it does not have to be to get ranked on Google page 1.
If you are writing a 2,500 word piece of content it is perfectly fine to have your target keyword appear 2 or 3 times, as long as it reads natural. But don't worry about your target keyword so much, your content and what it says is what gets you ranked.
Using other relevant keywords is also beneficial. Google ranks based on the context of the content and not on just the target keyword. Though keywords are important they are not the most important ranking factor, you entire content is.
Thank you for your input, Robert!
I enjoy your trainings, they are always simple and fun to read. I think your articles 'How to Use Keywords' are a must read for everyone.
You are welcome and thank you. I try to make all of my training as easy to understand as possible so even the newbie can learn from it.
A keyword will still work even if it's not in the title as you mention secondary keywords are often only in the content and sub headings.
However I find that secondary keywords rank better if they are linked in some way to the title so Google sees the connection.
Do you see your secondary keywords in the snippet of meta description generated by their algorithm on the first Gooogle page?
How do you know that a keyword sitting in the body of the article helps get you on the first page in Google?
Usually secondary keywords are in headings in your article so Google knows they are related to your main topic but could be ranked on their own merit.
So for example I have an article on horse rugs, and within that a sub heading of the name of one particular type of new product. If I Google the name of that particular rug (rather than the title of the article) my page appears in the Google search even though only one part of my article is about that particular item.
The meta description changes, sometimes Google will use yours but I read an interesting article that looked at this and noticed that Google adapts the meta description according to the search request. Sometimes it will take segments out of your text instead and use that as the meta description.
Thank you, Marie.
I see how Google and Yahoo (which I use the most) use the snippet of the text instead of meta description I created.
I understand that according to a particular query they fetch a snippet from anywhere in the context and display in meta description area. I search for very rare terms myself and clearly see how that works because very often, in cases like this, I even have to use the 'Find' feature to locate a particular phrase in the context when I get to the site.
This time I was interested in the title. Because if the title plays such a crucial part in rankings there could be only one major keyword per article. That also explains why very often a whole three-feet-long page is created featuring a particular keyword where keyword, sometimes, explains almost everything on its own.
If "one keyword per article" is true it should define my strategy.
I would think it would, especially if you are using it throughout your content, That's what I vaguely understand about keywords
It will work. But which title you have in mind, meta title or post title? Both are important, perhaps the former more. I agree with what CTisby says.
Meta title and post title was the same thing to me until I realized that a catchy headline is not what I figured the most relevant keyword for the theme of the post or the article is. What should I do, Jovo?
I see that some speak about secondary keyword(s). Not sure about the meaning. I guess those are extra keywords that you may use, this is normal practice. But to stress again, if the targeted keyword is in the meta title and in the post title, this is clear signal for search engines what the text is about, and party also for visitors. But you use targeted keywords also in some other important places, like meta description, url, etc. So Google will know what the targeted keyword is. However I would not miss to use it in both titles.
Meta title has limit of characters that must fit into pre-defined box, if you exceed, you get red flag, and Google may visually cut off a part, but even then the full meta title will be used by search engine. Problem is that people who search the Internet see snippet with meta title, not the post title. So this is why it should be informative enough. They see also meta description, and this can compensate if the meta title is not perfect.
In post title you have more freedom to make it catchy. But this visitors see only after they enter your site. I hope this will help a bit. Let me know if I can add anything.
So, as an example (not actual keywords I use).
I have a title of the page 'What is a long tail keyword?' and if I have 'Why is a long tail keyword better?' Unless the 'Why is a long tail keyword better?' is actually a title it's going to a waste because it's not nearly as effective for rankings as when it is used as the title.
Also, Jovo, should I always fill meta description myself or let the algorithm to choose what to display for me? Thank you.
Not sure what you want to say in the first paragraph. As for the second, i always add meta description myself. In many cases Google did not accept it and used starting sentences form the tetx.
/Below is just an example./
If I'm writing an article with a title 'What is a long-tail keyword?' then this particular keyword helps me get rankings.
In the same article, in the body of the article, I use another very relevant keyword like 'Why is a long tail keyword better?'. This keyword doesn't play role in my site's rankings.
Do I understand this correctly, Jovo?
Now I see. So you focus on one targeted keyword and use it as we have learned. But you can certainly be ranked for many other words and phrases from the text. There is a video by Kyle saying you can be ranked by hundreds of words literally. So use this good additional phrase, and several more if it sounds natural, and you might be ranked for it as well.
This particular one sounds great for a subtitle. So it is good as an extra keyword, and by using it you break the text into section(s) which is also good. So use it definitely.
You can add this same phrase in the list of tags (this is a box on the right in the editor). I do something similar.
No, there is tags box on the right (only for posts). You will see it below boxes for Categories.
To have it for pages as well, you would need a plugin.
I wouldn't say that it wont "work" but your chances or ranking for that keyword would be diminished, as titles are important ranking factors. So if you want to be on page 111, sure lol!
What's the point of the secondary keywords then? What do I do with other keywords that are highly relevant to the theme of the post or the article? I cannot fit them all into the title, right?
What should I do If the keyword is a dry technical term, but I came up with a catchy headline that explains the gist and sounds better?

Thank you, Loes! I'm glad you are not saying that bad HTML coding can cause that problem, because that was what I thought I did to it last night. I changed the font color on my iPad and then later discovered the editor was blank on all other computers. :))

That was a minor scare I got last night and, although I know that the sites that are hosted here are backed up, I will definitely have a test site now.
