When it rains it pours.Had to replace the tyres on the car. $1400 later, went for a drive to pick up stock. Three quarters of the way and two hours later, something's smelling. Rattle rattle motor spits out all the oil. Minus one motor. Darn thing blew out injector plugs. Of course it is Xmas. No one will replace it.Now to hire a car, go back to motor home, drive back again, return hire car and tow car back to camp site. All in a days work.
I have been working through the Affiliate Bootcamp and it is becoming obvious to me that I need to put a lot of work into my blog. I got started 18 months ago, posting maybe once sometimes twice a month and naturally Google hasn’t bothered with me. I am trying to change all that. Now I have started to post most days and have tried to put out better presented posts. I have some posts ready to go to ensure that when other commitments get in the way I shall have something that I can put t
Only took a year and a half but I finally completed the certification course. Better late than never. Still trying to fit my blog into one niche. Is a bit all over the place but at last I am starting to write more regular posts. Now to start on the bootcamp. Maybe I can work out some ways to add in affiliates and make some dosh. fingers crossed.
Have preserved with Gutenberg and thought I would add a couple of tips.1. Go slowly. As it updates if you accidentally delete something you could need to start over.2. Grammarly takes time to load. Wait it will load on each block, it just takes a few seconds.3. To add a block ( either paragraph or image) the quickest way is to find the spot you want to add it, then click on the+ button at the top of the block below this position. It will add the block just above. It is much better than using th
The 4 Hour Work Week - Is it possible? Years ago, I read Tim Ferris’s book The 4 Hour Work Week and was intrigued by the idea of sitting around with just a laptop, working only a few hours a week. What I got out of the book was a) That you do not need to be an expert to do something. All you need to do is to find information and relate this to others. This makes you an ’expert’ in your own right. b)That if you can find ways to make passive income, then you can reduce th
I am pleased to announce that I am getting the hang of Gutenberg. No more risk of going bald.Yeah.I managed two posts today, one direct from WordPress and the other from site content. Yes thank you so much Marion. Your wonderful training meant I clicked on how to turn the one block of text into individual blocks. Sometimes I need a few whacks to make it click. But I got there. My second post was a comprehensive Wealthy Affiliate review. Whilst I was researching keywords for the title, via Go
I have found that the new Gutenberg will allow you to add links and open them in a new tab. Please read Marion Black's fantastic training. If you want to open the link in a new tab, click on the three buttons to the right of the apply button and there is an option to turn this on same as the classic editor.https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wordpress-gutenberg...
Google might not care, but Bing & Yahoo found me.I was playing with the Jaaxy Site rank last night and low and behold whilst no one had found any of my posts through they keywords I had targeted, they had found my book. I have one post telling about my book and it was the one found.Weird. The strangest thing was the post immediately above mine on each search engine was some WordPress site that no longer exists. Now all I need is someone to find it in Amazon and actually want to read it.
Progess updateI have spent a fair amount of time lately welcoming and encouraging members. I do this because I have found exmembers who really didn't find all the wonderful features of this website.I myself skipped though the training in an effort to get my website going and missed the main points of the training. After 18 months I have a couple of dozen posts, which were not that great. So of course Google doesn't seem interested. Strange that...I have restarted the training and upgraded the
What are your 2019 Goals?Have you started on your 2019 Goals.? As the year draws to an end, I find that the time goes so quickly. In order to start getting myself together to consider by 2019 goals I have started thinking about what I want to achieve in the upcoming 12 months.I did achieve some of my 2018 goals and abandoned some others.I am sitting beside the river for the next 6 weeks with a very slow, intermittant internet connection and am getting very frustrated trying to spend time with
