Note to self. Do the training.
Progess update
I have spent a fair amount of time lately welcoming and encouraging members. I do this because I have found exmembers who really didn't find all the wonderful features of this website.
I myself skipped though the training in an effort to get my website going and missed the main points of the training. After 18 months I have a couple of dozen posts, which were not that great. So of course Google doesn't seem interested. Strange that...
I have restarted the training and upgraded the content is my earlier posts, made headings so they are easier to read and added some photos and infographics, instead of just one picture.
I have researched keywords and rearranged the phrases a bit to incorporate the keywords. I have also added them to the tags and the all-in-one SEO keyword box at the bottom.
I hope that when I finish and I go to Google and get it to fetch that I might get a second look at.
As I go forward I am starting to write one post a day, except for yesterday and today as I have been working. Getting up at 4am and working till mid afternoon doesn't let the mind be too creative. I will restart tomorrow.
Wednesday and Thursday's posts just got indexed today (Sunday). Normally it takes a week so I think this is an improvement which gives me some encouragement.
I have been working on hard on Pinterest and am finally seeing some traffic to my website. Some from here, Instagram and Pinterest. Only around 35 a month over the past 3 months but this is a huge improvement in zero to one....
As I continue the training as I encourage others to do, I expect to see even more improvement. Here's to a great 2019.

yeah, I think it's important to immerse fully in the training. There is so much to 'grock' at WA it's easy to miss that. Luckily I have some good reminders from my sponsor and I reviewed them yesterday :)

Thanks Marc. I love forums which is what the dashboard here is really like. So many people, so many ideas. I am glad that I can do both at the moment. I have posts outlined but restraining myself to uploading one a day so I don't spam.

I think you have made up some ground! You are back and that has to count in the good category. Sometimes we have to readjust ourselves, readjust our position to know where we are and where we are going.

I have been moving through the training slowly. After reading your post I can see that skipping training is not a good thing. It may take me a while to complete the training but learning it all can only help me for the future. Good fortune to you in 2019.
Yes, the training is so important. Once I complete it I will start on Jay's seminars. Lots of hours ahead.
You are doing great Kerry Ann. Updating your old post would be a good move and if you can, you may want add more content to it instead of just rearranging your sentences to meet your keyword. Google likes post that are getting updated from time to time.

thanks, yes I have been adding some sentences as well as adding headings.
I plan to rewrite whole updated posts rather than put too much into older posts that become harder to find. I hope that this way I have more posts on the same topics.
I hope I am on the right track. As I said, still working through the training so might find the answers as I move forward.

I’m pleased to hear things are improving for you. I once took karate lessons for a short time until I realized it wasn’t the sport for me but something the instructor said has always stuck with me: “The only way to become proficient at anything is to keep going over the basics.” and I think your post illustrates this superbly. Whatever stage we’re all at here we need to remember the basics and apply them.
