Yay! My LSD book is finished, though not yet published
In a nutshell, right after I graduated from Stanford, I was a research subject in a study of the effects of LSD on normal people. My family paid for this as my graduation gift, $500 in 1964 dollars. Laugh if you will but it turned out to be one of the greatest blessings if not THE greatest of my life. I had been raised by an atheist mother on the one hand and an Episcopalian father and stepmother on the other. I tended toward my mother's thinking but on LSD I met spiritual realities that changed everything and brought me to a far more joyous approach which has generally lasted over half a century. (I'm 77 now.)
Before I Publish the Book...
My website where I describe and publish bits of my books already exists and I moved it here to WA. You can find it from the list of my sites on my profile -- it's the one that starts with Z, or knowing that you can guess it from seeing the name on the book cover.
I have got to get an email list set up on that site. Really I should have done that before writing this post but I'm just so excited that I didn't want to wait.
Tra la! ta da!

Very timely, as I have been seeing more and more articles recently on the resurgence of LSD and other psychedelic therapy, in the treatment of trauma, depression, and mental health issues, as well as alleviating the emotional strife for people who are struggling with terminal illnesses and end-of-life emotional stress.
In the 1950/1960 years, these were the intended goal of these drugs ... sometimes the path is twisted ... sharing your experiences is so important! Congratulations ...

Yes, I was in that early wave and as you can tell from the book cover it was VERY beneficial.
We have hypnosis as a common interest too. The format of my LSD book is that the first half is the tale of taking it and how the next few years of my life were transformed. The second part of the book discusses several different directions that I went because of it. I studied hypnosis, or more accurately assisted self-hypnosis, with Freda Morris in Berkeley and to this day I still use it for myself and with people I know.
Hypnosis is a gift that I discovered very recently ... even in the short two years I have been actively providing services I have been able to help hundreds of people change their lives!
I am humbled and awestruck by the power of the mind ... I was always too scared to try LSD as a kid ... still haven't but remember the stories of Timothy Leary and others from the '60s.
I loved his quote .... “LSD is a psychedelic drug which occasionally causes psychotic behavior in people who have NOT taken it.”
― Timothy Leary
I fell into that category ... LOL

Big congratulations to you.
I am inspired as i am writing a book too at the moment👍
Great job!
Rosana, congratulations on finishing your book. You may find a lot of people who would love to read your book. You can actually have it published for - free - at smashwords dot com. They will also distribute the book at all the big bookstores, including Amazon Kindle. They, of course, will get a small percentage of the book sales. But it will get your book published, which is the end game. Good luck to you.
Ken
