Why Classes Here Are Showing Me So Much
Sometimes I get so busy doing the things that I'm already good at that I don't do anything here with the classes or training. I bet there are a lot of people like me.
But I proved myself wrong this week.
I thought, "What the heck, I'll just sign up for Jay's series of 14 case-study classes. If I don't learn much after a while, I will stop."
Well... in three classes so far, I have picked up three really good tips. Sure, I do know most of the basics that he covers, so I can have a snack or play with the dog while watching. I turn the speed up to 1.25 in the settings menu at the lower right of the video screen. He sounds a little hyper but I think that suits him.
I keep note-taking software open. Personally, I have the habit of using Scrivener but anything you can write in is fine.
I often copy and paste the lists of what he will cover. Sometimes I look at the list and think I could do all this in my sleep, but umm, not so.
For example, here are things I have learned so far.
- In the first class, Jay mentions that he might sell the site he is making so he won't make it too personal. Oops, that is a mistake I've made repeatedly.
- In the second class, he makes a comment about how he uses Jaaxy that made me say "AHA!"
- In the third class, he warned against a kind of overthinking that I have always done.
Someone else taking the classes (like you?) would learn different things.
Well, I'd better go. I'm curious what I will learn in the next class. And since I hate wearing earphones and share an office with my husband, I have to pick my times.

Thank goodnes for the replays, Rosana!
I've been a regular for several years, At Jay's Friday night training.
This new overview from ground up, has given so many new ideas, and a fresh outlook!
New set of eyes on this continuous mystery!
See you tonight for Day5!

I love your description of Jay on 1.25 speed lol :-)
I have learned new things as well Rosana, they are very good pieces of training.
Well done, Rosana! I've been watching and multi-tasking at the same time! His classes are always informative and fun!

A great reminder Rosana that there is always something new to learn no matter how much we all think we know about something!
Hopefully, if I have the time tomorrow, I will start watching the replays of the first few lessons as I have only heard fantastic reviews about them so far from those who have attended!
