Three Ways to Repurpose a Blog Post
Once you have written blog posts, you can use them in a variety of ways to draw attention. Here I will describe three of the ways that I use. (None have anything to do with cats, but this image of three cats was my favorite when I went looking for something to represent the word three.)
The three I'll describe are:
- Using snippets from a post on social media
- Compiling old posts into a roundup post, right there on your blog site.
- Use screeenshots from posts, especially for Pinterest or other visual places.
The first way is taking a bit that you wrote in a post and putting it on Facebook, Pinterest, or any other social media. You can comment on the bit and for sure you put a link back to your blog post. This one is probably very well known here.
Making a roundup post works when you have several posts about the same general topic. It's a good way to get internal links to refer to other posts there. For example, on my site about simple green living, I've written at least three posts on metal and plastic cans for storing gasoline. I could go back there and easily write a roundup post.
You can use an image from your site for another place. I make mine in Photoshop Elements,my go-to graphics program, but Canva and other places work. Here is one I sized for Pinterest, and with that I'll close this post:
