3k Words I am happy with that for now.
OK, so I know there are people here who write 6 and 7 thousand words per post but today I have done my second post of 3k words, I was hoping to get to 4 thousand but I was not able to at this time.
next time I will try harder to get to 4k but for now, I will be happy with my 3k When I first started here at WA, I couldn't believe it when Kyle said in the training that its required to write a minimum of 1500 words per post, I was thinking to myself, my goodness, what could I possibly find to say to reach 1500?
And now I am asking will I ever get to 5k? I belive I will get there one day. I guess its true what they say, practice, practice.
This was just a quick post because I wanted to share and encourage any new member who might think that they will not be able to reach 1500, I am here to tell you that you can and you will do it, just keep practicing, and when you run out of things to say, take a break and then you will find a new thing to add.
this particular post I did not take a break because I have been writing it in my head for the last 3 days lol :), so the idea was in my head already, plus its something I love talking about so that made it easy.
Anyway, thank you for your time and keep writing, you will get there

Well done. It’s amazing how words just flow sometimes and other times you think you wrote a lot and you hardly have 1000. LOL
Congrats on the 3000 words!
Its funny you should say that because the other day I was writing and At some point I thought the word count thing was not working because I thought I was at 1000 words but I was only at 500 and I had already run out of ideas 🙆

For long posts, you may want to consider breaking it up into several parts. I did a 3 part series with a totally unrelated post between the 2nd and 3rd part to give readers a break. Did they come back for the 3rd...absolutely. This way, the entire posts came out to be around 6,000 or more but I found it gave me better rankings by breaking it up. Learn what the average span of words your readers are willing to accept before they become bored and you will understand how to write for them and not you. How long of a post are you comfortable reading before its starts to be nothing more than droning?
Awesome Rose! That's definitely exciting. I remember when I wrote my first long post. And then you write a few more long ones, and a few more, and it suddenly becomes second nature!
Just a side note - I first read your post, and you said 3000K, which I thought you meant 3000 thousand, and I was like 'wow, she must have been writing for a long time!'. :D
No worries - you're encouraging me to make sure to write more, so that I can write 3,000,000 words some day :D
It really depends on what you are writing about, if its something you don't have a rough idea about, it could take a couple of days to research and take notes and then start writing.
There was a time I was writing an article that required a lot of research took me a whole week to finish it. and it was a 2500 word post.

You are doing great with 3,000 words per post. I have trouble with 1,000 or 1,500.
Besides I not sure I want to read a 6,000 or 7,000 article online.

Yes Bill I agree with you, I don’t think I want to read a 6k word post either but apparently Google likes websites with some long posts incorporated with the short ones, so my goal is to have few long posts as well as the short ones.

Thanks for the Google tip about long ones with the short. I have one about 2,400 words, so I will continue to improve my posts for a little longer in length.
