My Site is Not Indexed, but I am getting Traffic, How is It Possible?
Hi Guys
I hope that you all are doing well? I have a query and was hoping that the awesome community can help me with.
I checked out my stats on one of my sites in BMT(Bing Webmaster Tools), and noticed that its "not indexed," in Bing- highlighted in blue.
However, the strange thing is that it is getting traffic -highlighted in red.
How is this possible? And I have successfully submitted a sitemap.

People who type in your website URL directly will get to your website, for example, if someone here leaves u comment they probably typed in your URL directly or clicked the link that u provided to your site.
I see that u have your site listed on your profile page, so anyone clicking that link will be tracked as traffic too.
So u can get traffic without being indexed as yet. Not being indexed just means that the search engines have not crawled your site yet. Your site is still active on the web regardless.

Hey Carl
Thanks so much for that. really appreciate it. As you said, once it is live, there are many avenues that folks can take to get to my site.
Thanks once again.

Even if your site is not yet indexed by Bing, it can receive traffic. Traffic from WA (if listed in your profile here) or in SiteComments, or people directly typing your site's URL. And those stats are seen via Bing Webmasters Tools, even if Bing have not indexed your site yet.
Hey Gomer
That makes sense. Thanks for your explanation. I guess the important thing, is that I should be content that at least people are swinging by to my site.
Thanks and Take Care
