or

If you already have a YouTube channel, what would you like to learn better?

I'm creating a YouTube course and I want to understand better what kinds of concerns people have so I can make the training as helpful as possible.

Feel free to share your YouTube questions/concerns in the comments.

I'll do my best to provide you with answers.

I need to watch a couple of your videos to see how you are doing them.

I made 9 or 10 videos, and really enjoyed doing them, but they took much longer than writing a post. Let's see: questions I have...

What is the best way to attract new subscribers? Do you have an email list that you notify when you do a new video? Do you feel there is an ideal length? How long does it take you to make a new video? Give us a formula if you can for getting lots of subscribers.

I'm sure I could think of more, given time. Will have to look at one of your videos and perhaps I can think of them. How do I find your channel on YouTube?

Hello Roope, I am Lula and I believe we've made our acquaintance.
New to this, I have done a few with my cell phone but nothing fancy. My niche is close knit Country Living. I am thinking of interviewing local businesses in our small town and promoting on YouTube to give city folks a more concise, accurate description of what it is like living in a small town and an array of eventful marketing strategies alongside my blog, in-depth detailed analysis. What's the right way for a beginner like me with a specific niche? Would your course include gear required and, say for beginner, intermediate and professional, what equipment set up required? Frequency of uploads? Length of videos? How to grow and explode my stats? Marketing strategies etc., do you do some funnelling system with your YouTube. How to efficiently convert? Budgeting required as in paid ads?
I am thanking you way in advance.
Wishing you well, more success, and a terrific day.

Hi Lula, thanks for your message!

Similar principles apply to choosing a niche on YouTube as choosing a niche for your website: However, I'd say there are 2 differences on YouTube:

1) Your niche can be broader.
2) Competition is often a good thing on YouTube unlike on Google search it's a bad thing.

Would your course include gear required and, say for beginner, intermediate and professional, what equipment set up required?

Yes, depends on your budget.
$0 => Smartphone
$15 => Screencast software
...
$1,000's professional camera etc.

Everything is fine depeding on your budget.

Frequency of uploads?

- See my other answers in this thread

Length of videos?

- Also answered below.
Watchtime is a huge metric on YouTube and if videos are shorter than 8 minutes, it's really hard to get a high watchtime.

All "YouTube gurus" that I've listened to recommend minimum 8-minute videos. Preferably 10-16 minutes for a video.

Of course, there may be exceptions when a video may be less than 8 minutes but as a guideline I recommend minimum 8 minutes, preferably over 10 minutes. When you have a video over 8 minutes, you can also put a mid-roll ad.

How to grow and explode my stats?

- Study what works => Do the same => Study stats => Improve

Marketing strategies etc., do you do some funnelling system with your YouTube. How to efficiently convert?

- Relevant offers for relevant audience

Budgeting required as in paid ads?

- Not required

Hello Roope and thank you.
I am really grateful for your answer. Apologies for getting back rather late, but late is better than never. I have been busy creating content and today I found myself a one grammatically correct word domain name that is memorable and has broad appeal for my MMO (make money online niche) site. It costs me $11 and BOOM yeah I am so pleased. I noted your response down, and I will look into the other comments on the page to learn more.
This is really great help to me.
Wishing you well, continued success and a terrific day.

Hello Roope, How do I earn here in YouTube?
How often do I post a video to my YouTube channel?

The most common ways to earn money on YouTube:

1) Affiliate marketing (links in the description below the video)
2) YouTube Ads
3) Sponsored videos
4) Promoting your own products

How often?

There isn't a specific rule for that. It depends on the type of videos that you create. Some successful channels publish 3 times a day while others only once a month. And everything in between.

However, as a guideline I would say that publish at least 1-3 a week when you're starting out.

Wow!Thank you so much, Roope!

If you have a YouTube channel, do you have to connect to WA, if not how will you be recognized?.

No, you don't need to connect with WA.

Your goal is to get your videos on top of YouTube search for specific keywords and/or show up on Suggested videos.
