"Pay us $99 and ALL your financial worries are GONE."

Last Update: June 13, 2019

A friend was asking my opinion regarding one online business program.

The program had Everything:

  • Beautiful webinars
  • Exciting presentations
  • Inspiring success stories
  • Testimonials from people who promised with the hand on their heart, "I can whole-heartedly recommend this system!! It will change your life!"

Hmmm... 🤔

An obvious question is:

What is the name of the company?

and How can you make money with this program?

They replied,

"We will tell you the name of the company, compensation plan, etc. Once you make a refundable $99 deposit."

Yeah, sounds super legit! 😄

But I am sure that some people fall for this. Don't let that person be you or your friend :)

After reviewing +500 make money online opportunities I know for sure that if the company doesn't even want to tell their name before you've paid money, something is wrong.

This reminder especially to beginners who are just starting out here.

This is something we all need to remind people about, and this one is easy to skip, but there are other being a lot more open, harder to detect and even with clever tricks on how you can get rid of your money. Luckily many of them are gone and even governments see a reason to stop the scams. That is good news for all of us.

WA is a great start, but since honesty is a factor, people are afraid of not getting "there" soon enough. This also connects directly to a syndrome called Instant Gratification. Studies show a connection to all the like buttons on social media and of course, the immediate response on social media.

If you have any contact with your customers, this is a factor you can make them aware of. People deny their addiction to Instant Gratification, so don't accuse them, they are not aware of it. This is one of the reasons people are looking for ways to earn money fast. It is possible, but you still need to know what to do, how to do it and it's a lot more fun if you know why you do it.

I've often wondered why the WA conversion rate model (found in WA Program Details $ is not higher). I mean how many of the these programs offer a "Free" test drive?

Could it be that the curious realize they may have to study and work a little here at WA, and that causes them to click away preferring the shinny objects inferring it will be so easy once they fork over the 99 bucks?

How many are MLM schemes?

Yes I have seen some of the scams and I am so glad that I did not sign up for any of them. Something about WA intrigued me and it turned out to be the best move for me as I have really learned so much and my brain is soaking it all up. Thanks for your great post serving as a reminder to us all how Great WA is.
Cheers

Just think. If you reach 100 prospects a week and 50 send you $99, that's just under $5K. Not a bad haul for that company. I think they must do even better than that.

There are so many gullible people out there ripe for picking. I used to be one of them. They are on to a money making thing. Unethical, but money making for sure.

Good point Edwin. People are so desperate for something they just grab whatever seems appealing at the moment.

Great article Roope!

I also review make money online products/systems and the ones that hide behind a narrator and wants money BEFORE you can actually know what you are buying are 99.9% of the time either a big scam or a very low-quality program.

What they often do is buy some PLR with some PDFs and a few videos and sell it as their own creation. The sales video then tells a tale as if "their system" was a great "unknown" Internet secret that will make you thousands of dollars overnight, and all of this on autopilot. All you have to do is work 10 minutes per day and then drink pina colada's on the beach.🙄 Yeah Right!

I DO AGREE with what you say in your last sentence though: "Fortunately, there are also a lot of great programs online. Not all are scams of course"

It's how I found WA 3 and a half years ago 🙂

Have a great day/night!

I nearly got scammed by one on Facebook and thought, I'll take your training but you aren't getting my £59... in terms of that, it didn't do the actual how. I carried my own research into the the world of affiliate marketing and discovered WA.

I won't be needing any other resources. WA has everything I need :)

Good article though! Spot on.

Great post, when I joined, I was very sceptical, but my fears and suspicions were put to rest after the first week and I upgraded to premium. A friend of mine is on an alternative affiliate training program. Whilst I don't think it is a scam (because his training sounds very thorough) what I have noticed is that he has had to invest and incredible amount of money, to get to the same point I am.

He pays $99 a month, and was upsold (within two weeks) to pay in $2000 to upgrade to a new level. They are also advising he pay for additional training and he has been advised to put aside $1000 for advertising. So his investment to day (2 months in) has been $3198 where as mine has been $68.

Don't get me wrong, his website looks super slick and amazing, but all the 'extra' training he forwards to me, I am already doing through the WA training program. So the superior content he paid $2000 for, I am getting within my membership fee here!

Maybe his website will make him $1000's more than mine, however I think for those of us starting out, often with little money WA is the perfect home.

I hope your friend didn't fall for this one.
I guess because I have seen the scams and escaped from a few, AND because I am a happy member of WA this is completely ridiculous to me.

$99 up front?

Before you tell me ANYTHING?
Where they do that at?

Not here!

Nice one Roope!

It's a great shame but just another reminder that we all have to be constantly vigilant.

It's a pity we can't just stamp on these blood-sucking parasites and be done with them, but they are a constant pain, and likely to remain so.

Please let us know if you happen to find out the name of the outfit and the scum running it - we have to at least keep trying to "blame and shame" them out of existence!

Best Regards,

Steve H

Yep! I guess there have been scams from the beginning of the time and there will be until the end of the world, lol. Eventually all of them fall one by one but then there are new ones popping up.

Yes I agree

Just keep building awareness about them, when you find them.

Have a great day

I recently saw a video of yours on YouTube and it was regarding an online program or job I was considering trying out. After watching your video and doing a little more research, I'm glad I stayed away. It's amazing what little hooks these places will throw at you to try and get your money and NOT deliver on their promises.

Thank you for watching my YouTube video Brian! I appreciate it. Yeah, there are so many of these shady programs that at the beginning I thought that all are scams! :D Fortunately there are also great programs like Wealthy Affiliate as one of them.

This is so true there are so many of these scams out there. So we always need to be on the lookout. If it looks too shady it probably is a scam.

Yeah, and sometimes things kinda happen so fast that you can't realize what just happened like I was scammed in Vegas But fortunately when working online, we can peacefully evaluate in our homes before making the purchase decision.
