Greetings from Finland. I'd like to share some thoughts with you.
I was supposed to be now in Asia but I came here 1 month ago for a surgery since I got injured at the gym. I've been recovering my arm little by little but I also got a tough fever, swollen tonsils and such things.
Last month has been really tough and I haven't been able to work much but I believe that this kind of experiences make us stronger.
When facing setbacks people often tend to ask ourselves, "What did you lose?" Lost opportnities, lost time and lost money.
But that's a wrong attitude. I learned from Inky Johnson's teaching it's better to ask, "What did you gain from this experience?"
For example, my left arm is still recovering so I have been using mostly my left arm. Right arm is getting back to normal little by little and it's supposed to be 100% fine later. However, without this experience I wouldn't appreciate 2 arms so much. Now I feel more thankful for having 2 arms.
Also, think the high quality of health care nowadays. In the past, people lived much shorter because they didn't have so a good health care. It's such a miracle!
And those are just 2 out of many insights that I have gained.
Remember...
Don't ask what did you lose. Ask what did you gain!
