Make money while you SLEEP but.
You've probably heard the following quote from Warren Buffett (He has been one of the richest men on Earth for a long time.)
"If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die."
Warren Buffett is over 90 years old and he's still working! :O
I guess he didn't find a way to make money while he sleeps...
Just kidding.
Of course, he could have retired at 30yo but he loves working.
Anyways, this brings us to an important question:
What's the Goal?
I think Warren Buffett's example shows that the goal is not to end working but rather find to do something that we love.
If you love what you do and you're contributing to the world, why would you want to stop doing that?
Nowadays there are all kinds of FIRE movements and people dream of retiring early.
Of course, it's beautiful that people nowadays have so many options to choose from.
But personally, I think retiring early is not really a worthwhile goal. I don't judge those who do that but it's just not for me.
A more worthwhile goal for, Find what you love to do and contribute to the world while doing that.
Nowadays we have better tools than ever to do that.
You have better opportunities than kings.

Thank you for another great and inspiring article. I think it's so important to enjoy what we do, I enjoy my off-line business and online business. However, I plan to move eventually to online full-time so that I can work from anywhere in the world. Plus as I grow older I don't want to be driving all over the place for work!

I think the whole thrust around retiring early was because people were typically stuck in jobs that were not their passion. So they hoped to make enough money to move from that into what they loved. The thing with us is that we love what we do and cannot see why there would be any need to stop.

Yes I agree Hugh.
Many stats show that 70-80% of the people hate their jobs. So, they're looking for a way out. That's why they wanna retire.
But those who love their work, don't really have the same need because they're already doing what they want to do.
I couldn't stand it to hear my cell phone bleb bleb all night long. I need my sleep. I forgot I usually have it in the silent mode. When I do reach that level I will wake about every hour to see the SCORE.
Can't wait.

Reaching the goal that you have set doesn't mean you stop there, instead you set another one to achieve. There's always something new in life. I'm already 67 yrs old, but I can't just stop working. I may have slowed down, just working 3 days in the office but I'm also into this business now working from home. I refuse to stay at home doing nothing. For me as long as I'm healthy and able , I would love doing something productive not only for me and my family but also for the community and people in need.
