I Paid My 5th Yearly Premium Membership! ($750 per sale example)
Recently, I published my 4-year WA Anniversary post. It also meant that it was time for my 5th yearly premium membership payment.
I wanted to write this post to you for 3 reasons:
- Help you to save money.
- Help you to see this "make money online" thing from a long term perspective. (That we often forget!)
- Help you to understand the potential of affiliate marketing. Practical example on how to make $750 for a single sale.

How to Save MINIMUM $229 Per Year?
When you start your online business journey, it's important to understand that there will be some costs for running a business.
Getting a job is (almost) free but jobs don't pay as well as running your own business in the long term.
Absolutely necessary costs will be:
- Training (Cost varies)
- Domain name ($14 per year)
- Domain hosting (Cost varies)
- Support / Consulting (Cost varies)
A lot of people pay $1,000's for training.
I know individuals who pay over $300 per month for domain hosting.
Support from successful online entrepreneurs costs often minimum $100-200 per hour.
If you are starting out, you most likely don't have a lot of money.
In Wealthy Affiliate, you get all this and much more for $49 per month. That's incredibly cheap for everything that's included! Many companies charge hundreds of dollars per month for similar services.
However, you can save $229 per year by upgrading to the Yearly Premium Membership.
Instead of paying $49/month (which is already very cheap), you'll be paying $359/year which equals to $29/month.
Sum that for 5 years that I've paid my membership: I have saved over $1,145 by paying yearly instead of monthly!

Long Term vs Short Term Perspective
When you build an online business, most of the time you won't see immediate results. Especially when you are getting traffic organically from Google, YouTube or somewhere else. It takes take time to see the fruits of your labor.
When you analyze your results and progress in a day-to-day basis, you might get discouraged because usually things remain more or less the same.
That's why you should have a long-term perspective instead of a short-term perspective.
Take a look back and ask yourself these questions:
- What new have I achieved during the last 12 months?
- What records have I made during the last 12 months?
- What new things have I learned during the last 12 months?
Taking a look back usually helps you to realize how much progress you're making all the time and learning new things.
If you're not seeing any tangible progress, it usually means that you're not taking action to build your business. If that's your case, you simply need to start taking action and doing something. I've also seen some people who consume videos and articles for months but never take any action. Fortunately, most people take some action at least :)
I am committed for building my online business for decades to come. Most likely for a lifetime.
My question is not anymore, "What is the least that I must do?" But the question is, "How far can I go?"

People who commit, will succeed. But those who are in the game only for a short-term will quit sooner or later and will not get big results.

How to Make +$750 Per Sale? - Ultra-Practical Example
There are 1,000,000's of products that you can promote online as an affiliate marketer. In the other words, you can simply choose yourself how do you want to make money.
The potential with affiliate marketing is huge. My personal record is $2,000 for a single sale. That's same what I earned in one of my 9-5 jobs in a month.
Wealthy Affiliate also has a lucrative affiliate program and if you want to make money through that, you'll earn 50% commission for all sales that you bring in.
Now the affiliate who introduced me to Wealthy Affiliate has earned a 50% commission for my membership fees.
That makes more than $750 in affiliate commissions for him so far.
Think about it...
Someone just needs to click 1 affiliate link on your website.
That can make you over $750.
That doesn't even end there.
I'm planning to stay here for years and years to come. So, most likely the affiliate whose link I clicked, will earn $1,000+, $2,000+ or even more for that one click.
Just think about that potential.

Roope, if I'm not mistaken, one can save even more if they sign-up during the November Black Friday sale, and keep that lower rate every time their membership renews, especially if they have a source which automatically pays upon renewal! Thanks for the great post!

Yes, that's true Jeffrey that there has been a Black Friday promo for $299 yearly premium. If one is already in the yearly membership billing, he can also take advantage of that and save an extra $60 per year then.
I'm pretty sure you'll save the most by waiting tiil Black Friday unless I'm mistaken. I paid the $49/mo. for the whole year until Black Friday last year, and feel like I saved even more. You might want to research that!

You can go yearly now, or continue monthly. On Black Friday sign up for the $299, it will adjust the payment. Your annual will be $299 every year after.
I had just started and paid $49 in November last year, then signed up for Black Friday sale, my payment was adjusted to $290, due to what was left on the monthly I paid.

You've done a great job here in Wealthy Affiliate, but really, what I'm most proud of, is that you have realized the power of affiliate marketing and online business.
Though you've achieved a LOT so far, you are just a few steps into your real journey online. Won't it be cool to be 10 - 20 - 30 years making money online? Pretty soon you'll be counting decades, and your website authority will be hard to beat.
