Let me ask you a question...

Does This Sound Hard?

  • Open 10 tabs and get yourself in a distracted mode.
  • Start watching a lesson.
  • Open your website at the same time.
  • Open a few motivational YouTube videos.
  • Open Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook too.
  • Try to socialize and "network on Facebook and Wealthy Affiliate".
  • Write your blog post.
  • Search for images.
  • Apply for the affiliate program.
  • Search for an affiliate link.
  • Make keyword research.
  • Open 5 more tabs to distract yourself even more.
  • Take a cup of coffee to get more energy.
  • Call at the same time with your loved ones.
  • Prepare your next holiday.
  • Donate to charity.
  • Plan where to go for lunch.
  • Etc.

That's what a lot of people do when they want to make money online or build an online business. I've seen others doing it... And I've done it also myself.

Okay, okay...

Maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration.

BUT... I guess that you have at least some sort of idea of that :D

The point is...

You and I often make this too hard for ourselves.

Challenge: Having Too Many Things to Do

When people start their "make money online/online business journeys, they often feel overwhelmed.

They start thinking about a million things that they want to do and learn.

Now my task is to simplify the process and make this easier for you.

Just do this:

EASY Solution That Works!

Instead of thinking about a million things, just focus on ONE thing.

Let me give you three examples.

1) If you are just starting:

You only have ONE TASK.

Not two tasks... Not three tasks... Not four tasks...

ONE TASK ONLY.

Finish 1 task every day in Kyle's training.

You can ignore everything else.

That's it.

So simple.

2) If you want to grow your blog traffic:

Again, I give you only ONE TASK.

Not two tasks... Not three tasks... Not four tasks...

ONE TASK ONLY.

Publish every day 1 blog post following my tips here.

This is what it did to my blog back in 2017:

From a few thousand visitors per month to over 50,000/month:

3) If you want to grow your YouTube traffic:

Again...

ONE SIMPLE TASK.

Publish 1 video per day.

It took my views from less than 1,300 in a day to 4,500 in a day in less than 90 days as you can see below:

Can It Be So Simple?

Yes and no.

First of all, when you have such a clear goal it makes your progress MUCH, MUCH EASIER.

Instead of having to do a million things, you just focus on 1 task.

When you get it done every single day and it becomes as automatic as brushing your teeth.

Just make sure that you finish your main task every day.

You're guaranteed to make progress.

If you don't get results as I showed above, it doesn't mean that you wouldn't be making progress.

It simply means that you are learning what doesn't work and that you must adjust.

But you are all the time moving forward.

You get data.

You get numbers.

You learn what works and what doesn't work.

And getting results will be easier for you in the future.

Even a temporary failure is progress because you are learning something. How many times Thomas Edison failed with the little bulb? 10,000 times?

No, he didn't fail 10,000 times. He simply learned 9,999 ways that didn't work.

He learned!

In the same way, if you don't succeed immediately, it doesn't mean that you'd be failing.

It simply means that you're learning what doesn't work and you'll need to adjust.

My Task to You:

Define for yourself...

What is ONE thing that you will do every single day to move forward?

Tell me in the comments below!

When you share it with others, you're more committed to doing it.

My commitment is to publish at least 1 video every single day on my YouTube channel Learn to Make Honest Money Online. (I have also other things on the table but that's an example for you.)

I look forward to hearing what you're committed doing.

It's Your Time!

- Roope "Challenging you to push forward" Kiuttu

PS. Someone may ask... "What if I'll miss one day? Have I failed then and do I need to quit?" No. Then you are just merciful yourself and make a plan on how to avoid it in the future. We are all humans.

PPS. The idea with this is that you define one cornerstone habit. What happens usually is that when you do that, other things will flow more easily too. Once you accomplish that, you'll feel good and get into a"spiral of achievement".

I alot my self time to spend on one task.
For example.
My early morning starts ( 4 am are for communicating, commenting and writing on the WA platform )

How long this takes depends on the tasks. Usually I up by 5:30 am for breakfast and time with h my wife.

My working day starts at 8 am. Two days a week I still run an offline business.

The days I'm home I start on my main task. It might be writing a blog, training or developing a website. But I choose one task.

Just like in my offline job, I have morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. When my wife's not home, like today, I'll go onto the WA platform for more commenting. It relaxes me.

All the best . Jim

Thanks for the reminder, Roope! Right now, I'm refocusing and revamping my goals and making sure that I have realistic, doable deadlines that will work with my other responsibilities. Then I hope to get be on track with one post per week. If I can do more posts than that, it will be a plus. Thanks again for the post! :)

Great words of advice! We definitely get in over our heads and tend to get nothing done.

I am committing to working on my website for at least 10 minutes everyday. This doesn't sound like much, and there are days I'll put in a whole lot more time, but this is a minimum amount to be included on even the busiest days.

Thanks!
Heidi

I have had 7-15 tabs open for over 16 years and just recently started closing a few. I am constantly trying to work for more than one website at a time, and multitask myself to death at others. It's a tough habit to break but your reminder here can save lives and definitely save sanity. My multi-tabbed life already leads to one nervous breakdown, a 6+ year recovery, and a basic reboot of everything. Don't want to do that again. Oh look I closed another tab.

Excellent advice!

I use a planner which includes a task management system to schedule my work. Then I focus on the next task at hand.

Time limits are essential for me - especially for limiting time spent on social media and such - once I get to the end of the allotted time I log out and turn it all off - and get to the next task. Thats usually writing in some way or another.

Have a great day!

Best regards,

L.D. Sewell
