People often ask me, "How can I find good affiliate programs to join?"

Let me answer your question within this post.

(Feel free to share this post to anyone who is thinking how to find affiliate programs.)

Here are 3 ways:

1. Type on Google, "your_niche Affiliate Programs"

You may find 100's of great affiliate programs within your niche in a few minutes.

Replace "your_niche" obviously with the niche that you are working on. For example, "luxury travel affiliate programs" if luxury travel is your niche.

Keep in mind that some people might be promoting their own company or affiliate programs there so don't rush right away if someone is recommending you something.

2. Use Wealthy Affiliate's "Affiliate Programs" Platform

Some time ago, Wealthy Affiliate launched a brand new affiliate platform.

That's something completely new and unique in the whole affiliate marketing industry.

You'll have a chance to find affiliate programs within any niche, from many different networks, read reviews of each program, etc. etc.

A great thing about WA affiliate program platform is that you can also communicate with other members regarding each program.

You can also see other people's reviews and add reviews by yourself.

3. Follow Influencers and Competitors within Your Niche

I've personally found several great affiliate programs just by following what other people are promoting.

If a reliable influencer is promoting something within your niche, the chances are that it might be worth taking a closer look at it.

I recommend that you follow, for example, 5-10 successful people within your niche to grab ideas that you can also use within your own marketing.

You can find them from YouTube or by doing Google searches with the keywords that you are targeting. Then look at the top websites and YouTube channels on Google.

BONUS TIP #1 - Promote What You Use

Think about the products that you are already using yourself.

Could you promote them to your audience? Probably they also have an affiliate program?

Oftentimes it's the easiest to sell the product that you are using yourself.

If you have sold yourself an idea of buying a product, it will be easier to convince others as well.

BONUS TIP #2 - Focus on a Few

Don't join 10's of affiliate programs just for the sake of it.

Focus on 1-5 affiliate programs strongly rather than trying to promote everything.

I've tried both strategies. I promoted a lot of different things and then I've focused on just a few programs.

I got much better results by focusing on a few.

Other successful affiliate marketers have said the same. Have a clear focus on which programs you want to promote and give them all your attention instead of joining a million different programs.

Final Reminder: Promote Only Something That Is Valuable, Do NOT Rush

Don't be in a hurry with getting involved with affiliate programs.

The goal is to find products/companies that you can promote possibly for months, years or even decades to come.

You don't want to rush promoting something that is not valuable and helpful to your followers.

The ultimate goal of your affiliate marketing business is not just to make money but to HELP YOUR FOLLOWERS to achieve their goals.

Let me give you an example from my own experience.

I had known a program for almost a year and I had used and researched it myself very closely for 2-3 months before I even mentioned about it to anyone online.

I wanted to make sure that it's something worth promoting and it is something that I can do for years to come.

It's much easier to promote something when you genuinely love the product and think it's the best others can get.

There you go. Smash the green "Like this" button if you found this helpful. :)

Hello Roope,

I hope that you are doing well, it's always a pleasure to read your blog posts, I appreciate your wise words and advice.

I normally find affiliate programs by searching Google.

I think it's good to see what other genuine affiliate marketers are promoting, we can learn a lot through others.

Have a great Sunday.

Roy

Thanks for sharing Roy!

I have been guilty of applying to a lot of affiliate programs, and am having success with very few. I agree, you have to pick and choose and focus your efforts.

Yep, with a good focus it's usually easier to get the results.

Thanks for this informative post, Roope. I am just beginning to look for affiliate programs, and this was very helpful. Carol

Happy to hear that Carol!

Grins.

This is a good one!

Great advice Roope.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Eli!

Great post Roope!

I must admit, with my current (and first) niche, kitesurfing for beginners, There doesn't seem to be a huge number of companies within the sector who offer affiliate programs. I wonder if anyone here has experience of approaching companies and suggesting they start an affiliate program?

Thanks for sharing Adrian.

Have you looked into other kitesurfing websites and YouTube channels? What are they promoting?

Some companies don't publicly show an affiliate program on their website but if you send them an email and ask for it they might have it. So that's something to keep in mind. Companies love it if someone is willing to promote their products.

I really enjoyed reading your article. I was helpful. Keep up the great work you are doing.

Glad to hear that Doug. I wish lots of success with all your work as well! 👍

Excellent, solid tips, as always. Huge thanks Roope.

Thank you Twack! I appreciate it!

Thank you, Roope, for sharing this. I have researched a little bit on the new Affiliate Programs section but want to do more, it just takes time. Your input helped me get some ideas about how to proceed.

Yes, I agree with you Ray, it takes time. And I think it's fine because optimally we want to find something valuable to promote for long term.

Lots of useful advice here!
Personally i use the Google search method. You find some interesting stuff if you dig deep enough 😀

You're right. Google search works perfectly for this.

I'm saving this one. Thank you, Roope!

Thank you Michael!
