Do you want views OR do you want to make money?
If you have a YouTube channel, you have one choice to make:
Do you want to publish a video that generates you more views OR more money?
Most of the time, those are 2 different things.
This is surprising for most people.
At least, I didn't know that when I got started on YouTube.
Now I know.
General vs Targeted Views
If you want to get more views, you'll publish a "general" video.
If you want to get more money, you'll publish a "targeted" video.
A general video with a broad topic will most likely get you 10-100 times more views.
A targeted video with a niche topic will most likely make you 10-100 times more money.
Which One Should You Produce?
Should you maximize your income and make a lot of targeted videos OR maximize your views and create a lot of general videos?
I recommend that you do both.
Get a lot of views and subscribers by talking about broad topics.
And then create targeted videos to make money.

Both if you get more views and perhaps more followers it will work best in the end. From the more views start producing more targeted videos getting to know whats working from your analytics will help more traffic= more opptunity
