Hi everyone,

I started publishing new posts every single day on my website youronlinerevenue.com when I came back from my trip to Indonesia.

I just realized that it was 40 days ago when I started that habit. I feel quite satisfied that I have been so consistent.

First, my minimum length for the posts was +500 words. Then I set it to 700 words and now my minimum is 1000 words.

Probably I will make some longer posts like +1500 or +2000 words and see if they work better.

I am just thinking should I keep on making new reviews every day or should I start concentrating more on the other things like

  • PPC
  • Getting comments
  • Networking
  • Making interviews and roundups
  • Social Media Marketing

I have written now 78 posts to my website and the best ranking for the the post/page in Google is 14 so far.

That's the reason I am thinking to change strategy. Publishing new posts every day doesn't seem to get me ranked on the first page so far.

One successful guy here in WA suggested to make lots of +1000 words reviews and I believe it's also very good strategy.

The other one recommended to do like one post/ week and concentrate more on building the links and the other stuff

What do you think?

What would you do?

I wish you all success and thank you for reading my text! :)

Great. Keep going Roopke and at 20K words you'll have a e-book worthy short novel and 50K words + a full length novel

I think that's amazing! I've been wondering this myself, as have 65 posts/pages on one of my sites, some are on page 1 and it seems quite random which ones get there,(I'm left scratching my head sometimes), but some have moved up slowly over time. So, for example, the post you have now in position 14 may well end up on page 1 and others in the future and others will move up too. I would stick to writing 1000 words plus per article. As someone said, just be careful about burning out and have a rest now and again :). Plus, make sure you do share them all as well etc...

Now I know why I haven't seen you lately Roope. Site looks great.

I agree with all the recommendations above. You are very disciplined and I believe you will successful in all your writing ventures that lie ahead.

I read all 4 training today, there are a lot of tips about ranking

I think that one post a day for 40 days is amazing Roope.
If you can keep it up then great, go for it! But I wouldn't neglect the other things! As long as you are consistent, that is all good :)

Hi roope,

If you can maintain the daily posting, then you're good to go :) I suggest do one at a time to avoid being overwhelmed. Social media marketing should be a priority because it is 'free', and then choose email marketing.

I also begin with daily posting, and move to social media marketing. It gives a lot of traffic boost to my site, and the organic search also increased in a good number.

My next move is email marketing. I see that doing one at a time helps me to adjust my work and time management, rather than rushing everything at once.

Cheers,
Ferdinand

You have always very good tips Ferdinand. Thank you very much!

Getting ranked only by writing articles just doesn't seem to work very well for me because I am not getting any organic traffic so far. That's the reason I am thinking to change my strategy a bit.

But I can try to write +1500 words reviews. If that doesn't work I write +2000 words reviews. If that doesn't work, I eat my head :D.

I am thinking to go through my old reviews, add links and some content to them and see if my rankings improve.

Probably just need to test lots of different things and see what works best.

Thanks Roope :)

I personally think you should try other strategy before increasing the word numbers (unless you are really sure that you still have enough spare time to do other things like networking, social marketing, etc).

My organic traffic keep increasing even though it didn't hit 1000 words. I focused more in the relevance and UX in the content, and trying to give a focus for content distributio (e.g.: social media marketing)

Right now, I am working in a digital.marketing division in a company. I learn that it is not enough to rely solely on content creation. You need to think for the content distribution channel that includes: organic (on page seo), social media, email, referral ( link building and guest posting), paid traffic (ppc), and finally direct traffic (branding or offline campaign)

When we try to post daily, write more reviews or adding more words, that is fall within the contenr creation job. If you think you have accomplished one thing here (e.g. daily posting), it may better to shift your next focus to content distribution.

It needs time and efforts, but i'm sure you can do it :) just focus on one thing at a time until you feel confident to shift your focus.

Cheers,
Ferdinand

Excellent comment Ferdinand. I couldn't agree more. Promoting new articles is crucial. Well said.

Thanks PJ :) and most of them can be learned from.your training :)

Roope,

Thanks to you, I try to compile my knowledge about basic content marketing strategies that was explained in my previous reply here: I hope you can find it helpful :)

Cheers,
Ferdinand
