Happy July! 😊

Let's reach some new milestones in July, alright?

In this post, I'll share my recent milestone and thoughts. I hope this will enccourage you to work hard in July too.

At the beginning of June I said to myself that I wanna reach 20,000 YT subs before the month ends.

We made it! (if we look at the Hawaiian time zone :D)

25,000 YouTube Subsceibrs in July?

I'll reach for 25,000 YT subs within July.

You may be asking, "Why?"

The first answer is "Why not?" ;)

YouTube subscriber amount is often known as a "vanity metric" because it doesn't produce anything itself. However, that thinking is somewhat limited.

YT subs have value because:

  1. More subscribers
  2. => More views
  3. => More ad revenue + affiliate commissions
  4. => More people impacted!

In a nutshell,

The subscriber number is just one metric that usually brings lots of benefits along.

25,000 YT subs is just one of my goals among other ones.

More Subscribers => Bigger Impact

Even if views and other metrics don't turn into dollars, just being able to teach people important principles and steps itself has a big value.

Let me illustrate from another perspective.

I've learned a lot by watching other people's YouTube videos. And as you know, watching YouTube is 100% free. Many YouTubers haven't earned a single dollar even though they have taught me principles and steps through their videos that are worth a lot.

In the same way, many people may learn from my videos and that doesn't always translate into dollars. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be valuable.

Personally, I think the most important thing in life is the impact that we can make on others during our lives because that's what remains here after we're gone. And YouTube offers a great platform for doing that.

YouTube is Fun!

When I create YouTube videos, most of the time it doesn't even feel like working because I just love the process.

That's one reason I think it's the right platform to focus on right now.

I mean... Why not do something that you love doing that can also give you great returns? :D

The worst scenario is that I just have a lot of fun during the process! The best scenario is that I have a lot of fun and get awesome results as well.

That's why I throw my

Do What You Love Doing

Steve Jobs said,

“You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do."

When you're an affiliate marketer, you don't only have "1 path to success". There are many things that you choose from:

  • Blogging
  • YouTube
  • TikTok
  • Any social media platform (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Paid advertising
  • Etc. Etc.

The truth is that different personalities fit better for other platforms. Some people love writing more while others prefer doing videos.

I never realized that I'd enjoy doing videos so much until I started doing it more. So it may be also a good idea to try a few things and then stick to the one that you like the most.

The important thing is also to stay focused on 1 thing and not try to succeed on 10 thing sat the same time.

Alright, that's enough for today.

Have a great July!

It's Your Time!

That's great, Roope, I love how your focus is on enjoying yourself while bringing true value to others... and being appreciative of the help you've also received.

That has to be a winning combination!

I watched a couple of your YouTube videos... and they're great! Very motivating, and you do look like you're having fun!

I laughed when I saw so many people commenting on how they love your accent... but of course there are obviously a lot of people highly engaged and learning great things from your content.

This month my main achievements have been clearing up space mentally, physically and digitally to pave the way for deciding what I will be continuing with so I am not spreading myself too thin.

Best wishes,

Jacquie

Thanks a lot Jacquie. Let's keep on rocking!

Good morning Roope,

I hope you're doing well, it looks like you are! Congratulations Roope on reaching the 20,000 YouTube subscriber landmark, 25,000 is just around the corner!

It looks like your daily posting is paying off big time, well done!

In answer to your question, milestones to my online business were low due to the success of my off-line business, in other words, I have been very busy!

My goals for July are to get back to writing blog posts and making more YouTube videos. My off-line business should peak around now which will free up some time.

Having said what I have said, I'm very pleased that the off-line business is going so well. And, it is the power of the Internet that has enabled me to grow my off-line business so quickly.

Have a great day Roope.

Roy

Thanks for sharing Roy. Sounds awesome!

Absolutely fantastic, 20,000 subscribers, you have to be realizing some cash returns and sales. If you don't mind me asking, what are the costs involved in putting up a U-Tube video besides the camera. How do you notify your subscribers to contact you or your product (S), do you freeze-frame a link address or does it stay on the screen constantly.

Joe

Costs of creating a YouTube video are pretty small. Once you've bought camera, microphone and a software, that's it. However, I also pay for a video editor and for a person who creates thumbnails but that's not required.

In regards to monetization, there's some relevant link in the description usually.

See? You've hit the nail on the head, you have to love what you're doing. You have a knack for YT. Your presentation is great. It's obvious that you are having fun, and as a viewer, fun is a key part of why I watch. If I want a lecture, I'll go into some boring classroom and listen to a boring old professor type who you can tell would rather be playing golf. Good job Roope, the race to 25K is on, and I'm rooting for you all the way.

Greg

Thank you very much Greg. I appreciate it. I remember Tony Robbins talking about this too.. People can't concentrate on 5 minutes on many things nowadays but the same people can focus for 12 straight hours in his events when things are done in a more interesting way

I say 28k😀 congratulations Roope 🎉

That would be even better! :D
