100% free writing tool: type more effectively
Do you wanna write FASTER?
Do you wanna get blog posts done more EFFECTIVELY?
Do you wanna write scripts for your YouTube videos more EASILY?
Let me share a free tool that I found recently
This one:
http://squibler.io/dangerous-writing-prompt-app/
Easy Instructions
Here's how to use it:
- Choose Session Length (minimum 3 minutes)
- Click the right button Start Writing w/o Prompt
- Write non-stop for that time.
- If you stop writing for 5-10 seconds, you'll lose what you've written so far.
This tool forces you to focus on a certain period of time.
It puts you into the flow.
I simply share it because it worked for me and I believe that many of you will benefit from using that.
I've NOT affiliated with them in any way. I'm simply using it for 100% free in the browswer and it's been really helpful.
Give it a try and your writing efficiency may improve immediately.
You may want to use it a few times in order to get used to it.
Let me know how it goes.
Have a great Sunday!

Hmmmmm I think I'm on the fence with this one. For me the pressure of knowing I can't stop for more that 5-10 seconds would have me very uneasy. I'm no adrenaline junkie :)
But as you said maybe after a few goes at it, the process will become easier and then useful.
What an interesting tool.
Oh my! I think too much Which I am fully aware of.
Thanks for sharing.
You can choose for example a topic you write about. Prepare a few bullet points. Then set a timer and GO! ;)
I don't think it would work for me. Sometimes I pause to think about how I'm going to phrase the next paragraph or sentence. I would hate to lose what I had already written.

If you are not a fan of loosing your writing, try the following, very similar (free) website: www.ilys.com.
You start with setting a word count, click go and get a black screen. As you start writing into the dark, you only see the last letter you just typed. Once you have reached your word count you can edit your brain dump. There are no time restaints.
All those apps and websites are designed for one purpose only:
To create the ugly first draft.
It's not about getting polished content, it's about getting the ball rolling. You re-write and edit later.
Using a dark room for writing forces you to mine your own brain first before you do any research. I'm always surprised how much I actually know about things once I subject myself to this method instead of a blank screen with all the destractions.
Whichever app or website you use, Roope is right - it does increase your writing speed and efficiency.
