I may have missed something when I picked my domain name. I just watched a video on using Jaaxy where the instructor used Jaaxy rankings to identify the domain name. I choose my

I did the same thing, chose my domain because I like the name and unfortunately there are lots of other sites with similar words in the domain. Live and learn, I have put too much effort into building to change it now.

Have you tried doing a Google search on it? You may be surprised. I searched my name and my very first post appeared in the middle of the second page! I thought I'd get tired of searching before it ever appeared.

unfortunately I did, and didn't bother to go beyond the first two pages. We'll see, maybe the content will make a difference!

I think using Jaaxy to get the appropriate key words into the content is the key. I made sure every high ranking key word was in my post, including using the key words in photo names. Hang in there, you'll get better with time.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm trying to write it and then go back and insert the keywords. Without content there's nothing to see, so I've got to get that done! I'm also looking for a great related keyword thinking I can register that as a domain name and just have it go directly to my existing one.

Well, you don't screw up, you get to learn from your initial mistakes,.

Anyway, don't knock yourself over the head about it, concentrate on writing some decent content for it and the rest will look after itself.

Good luck, Ron, we are all rooting for your success here and in life

Thanks Jonicas

No you did not screw up - having a keyword domain name is not that important nowadays.

Branding is what's important - and you have a fantastic domain name for branding - don't look back and run with it.

Thanks leoemery...I just did a Google search on The Tool Professor and my very first blog on Hand Saws came up in the middle of the second page, so I must be doing something right. I'll forge ahead and see what happens!

I'm using the Supernova template and want to delete the default photos and insert my own into the home page. But can't figure out how to do it. It's not the Header Image or Backg

I would like to know too. I want to change my layout, but I have not yet because I can't figure out how to do this v_v

Hi jadeseef...I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but here's how I managed to get my images into my homepage:
1. From the admin page find Apperance in the left menu
2. From the submenu select Supernova Options and Slider
3. Click on Upload for the applicable position
4. Select Media Library at the top (assuming you have already uploaded images into your media library)
5. Click on Show for the image you want to upload and fill in whatever info you want in the spaces provided
6. Scroll down and click on Insert into Post
7. Click on Save Settings in the blue box at the bottom
And it's done (except I now need to figure out how to adjust the appearance of the photos so that they're not distorted).

See my post above if you're stuck getting your Home page into the menu too.

Are you speaking of adding media to your page....if so the add media above the tool bar takes you to where you can upload a photo from your computer and insert into your page. The home page should be showing in your top tool bar if you created it as a page. If you created it as a post it won't show there, it will show in the sidebar posts menu. Hope any of this is helpful.

Thanks khomes...I finally figured it out. I couldn't figure out how to get images from the media page into the template.

That's great! I know, sometimes you just have to push all the buttons till you find the right one!

Hi kholmes...I still can't figure out how to get my home page to appear in the top menu bar. If I add a page it will give me a blank page. I want my home page to be the Supernova page.

If you go into appearance and select customize, you can create your own menu and put the pages where you want them. I think I understand, but I am wondering why it is not showing at all.

Funny how I seem to figure things out right after posting a question! I'll go back and check Kyle's video but I don't think mention was made on how to get the home page up in the menu. I did it by going to All Pages and selecting view all and there the Home page is listed. I selected it and clicked Add to Menu. It now appears where it should at the top left of the menu.

Excellent, glad you figured it out. I have to get up and walk away and then come back and I usually see something I was missing. Good work, carry on!
