Hey Dan, I've just had a read of your profile - I'm pretty sure you could narrow that down significantly with some of the things you already know and are involved in. You're very well educated in engineering, but I suspect that you want to move away from that (because you suggested travel), so you can refine that area with something you can talk about easily. For example - how about travelling with a disability? I'm sure there are many challenges involved there, and if you could target that market, you'd have the "authority" to talk about it. Or travel with an autistic child? Or recreational activities for an autistic child?

Yes, travel is an extremely broad niche. :) You should consider narrowing it down a great deal. There are a lot of ways to go with this, such as traveling tips, traveling for honeymooners, luxury traveling, etc.

Yes. If you were to Google TRAVEL, would you get the results you wanted? Probably not. You would have to type another word or two and probably have to scroll through a bunch of websites. Be really specific! Travel tips, destinations, different months, different seasons, cheap travel, travel locations, best places to travel, etc.
