WordPress plugins increase the functionality of the base WordPress software. These plugins allow us to be our creative best and makes working within WordPress that much easier.

Thanks for sharing. It is good to hear what other members are experiencing - we all benefit.

Really, some plugins made my site down. Example: the social plugin which is explained in the courses here.

I use P3 also to test plugin load speeds and to see if there is a glaring problem with any. I also took a step back and followed more closely to what Kyle and Carson recommend for plugins. I am liking the minimal look and overall functionality too.

Your response is appreciated. So far I have only gotten good feedback about P3 here at WA and on other sites. I currently have only eight additional plugins.

Hey Roger try this FREE plugin - "P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler).See which plugins are slowing down your site. Create a profile of your WordPress site's plugins' performance by measuring their impact on your site's load time. Only activate when using to check what your other plugins are doing to your load speed!

Hi KD6PAO,

Thanks for your prompt response. I read about the P3 Plugin during my research and considered using it. With your endorsement, I will definitely give it a try and post my feedback. Your suggestion to only activate this plugin when checking the other plugins is priceless.

Best regards,

Roger

Yep, no need leaving it activated and taking up download speed. Same goes for some other plugins that you may only need occasionally. A lesson to all! ~Joe
