How often do you blog, how seriously are you taking this?
Lately, I’ve been so obsessed with working on my website blog that I no longer have time to worry or care about affiliate sales. While it would be nice to have a few, I have two countermeasures to that regard, so I’m not even worried about that. But, I’ve finally gotten to a point where most of my time is spent on my blog and how to evolve it.
It’s so odd, I don’t even care about affiliate sales anymore; I’m loving the idea of being able to write about what I love which is video game and video game tech. I usually make it a note to be on everyday but I do get to a point where life gets in the way.
Above all, I love the time I spent with my blog and how much time is really going into it because I’m loving all of the engagement along with the time I’m spending working on it, it has become my therapy.
I didn’t used to take this so seriously because I was worried about money and trying to make it, but now I see building your blog as the great tool that it is; the sales will come but even if it’s years before they do, you’re not wasting your time and getting indexed on Google says you’re not either. You’re trading time for building a great blog, it’s a good thing.
Take my advice people, take your blogs and the time you’re on them seriously, they can be a great source of therapy not to mention make you appreciate the hard work that you’re investing in them.

Hey Rodney,
I write a blog post and publish every 2 days. I take my business seriously because it is a real business.
Monica
Indeed Monica, it's something, it took me forever to stop looking at my business as an immediate money maker instead of just a slow n' steady process. Right now, I'm dedicated to my blog as well as adding things to it. I like the time I invest in it as well.
Good for you Rodney! I'm really proud of you... keep up the good work.
Blessings to you and your family this wonderful Sunday.
Monica
Thanks Monica, you know what they say, if you enjoy what you do then it won't be seen as work. I've finally gotten to a place where that ah-ha moment finally occurred.
Yeah it does, but as they say; you make time for things you want to do but I know that's not always easy.
I love this! You are absolutely right! I am just getting started and all I've really thought about up until yesterday is making enough money to have complete freedom with my time and finances, and it was pretty overwhelming. I've realized through doing this that I have to come at this from a place of love and passion, not the desire to make a lot of money. Since I shifted my focus, this has become my therapy as well and all I can really think about is building my website and connecting with this awesome community, and sharing my insight with the world. Thank you for that post. It was a fun read.
Thanks Carolanne, I love your name by the way. Yeah, you get to a point where it stops being about money and it starts being all about building a legacy with your website; something that's yours forever.
I agree -- the blog itself becomes a goal.
I post something on my cat blog every 3 days and try to do one on the other blog in between. I'm about to start a 3rd site...rocks in my head!
Wow. I'm good to keep up with one site and you're going to start a 3rd site; Granny, you're awesome. Rock on!
You know, it took me this long to finally realize what purpose a blog serves in building a successful business; I was concentrating on money and that's not the foundation on which to build a blog especially one that you plan on turning into an internet sensation. I post on my everyday or at least every other day.
Thanks Vicki, I will. I'm finally glad I've reached a point where I've said to myself, "I get it, I finally get it".
Awesome The Bell chimed so well done my friend and keep being awesome online Rodney

It is always good to make sure your blogs are monetised Rodney. That way you can start getting a small income that will rise as your site gets busier.
Derek
Already on that Derek, I stop using Amazon and I went with Ebay product promotion. And, I just remembered a hidden resource that I could also use to monetize my site so there's also that. It's good to finally see things so clearly regarding business.
