Yes, as of yesterday Germany is in lockdown "light" as they are calling it and my home country, the UK, is in lockdown as of this coming Thursday...tough times for many. Our wellness studio ( a tiny one but runs okay) is closed as of yesterday and we expect once again a small- business grant for this soon. The German gov. has been quite generous to date, luckily and have few quibbles regarding help, so that's great. My English training business is okay but slower than pre-covid times.

And cancel billing. When you are ready, you can come back.
If you have any sites, once premium expires your account ceases.
However site support keep back ups only for 60 days, so you need arrange alternative hosting / registrar before your premium expires. I would also suggest backing up, you can use AIO WP Migration or Updraft plugins.

Jay has a great webinar on exactly this topic: Using WooCommerce for Affiliate Links However, keep in mind that you still need to drive traffic to the site. In my experience, it's much easier to get traffic through blogging (like Wealthy Affiliate teaches in the main lessons), rather than just setting up a shop. Since you're an affiliate, the main value you provide to an audience is going to be the information you provide, not just a list of items to buy.
I'd focus on blogging about topics related to your business so that your site can get found in Google when people search for related terms, then you can add your affiliate links within the context of the article.

I thought I might be able to avoid that but that is the essence of what I have been learning here. 1000 word articles on whatever product I think important to review. I can or could add the woocommerce facility later, once I have a few pages on different products up and running. The only hassle is I have to write them in German and that takes much longer but hey ho, it's where I live. And will continue to write the English blog parallel to this one too but this German website gets visitors and it'd be great to get off having to use Groupon and Treatwell to get massage and pedicure clients...we rely on them much less but they are always positioned above our google entry and people often book through them rather than directly through our website.

You certainly don't need different affiliate memberships if you have different pages or stores. Personally I would not go down the shopify route.
What I would do is continue writing your blog posts and make the informational about things you would like to sell. You could then either put an amazon link into the story, but better still think of some really useful giveaway that you could offer for free. This way you get an address / email address and so build a list of customers / potential customers who you can then sell other products to later.
The big drawback with Amazon is that you lose the customer data which is why I mentioned the above method.
You could do all this on a separate page if you want where you could go into product detail and what problems it would solve for your customer.

You have traffic at your current site already, now it's just a matter of monetizing that traffic. Perhaps you could add a blog to your current site. Review products in your niche with affiliate links to those products.
You can add a recommended products page with affiliate links as well. I'm sure others will have many ideas and recommendations for you. I like to keep it simple and then scale as you find what works best.
No need to reinvent the wheel, let the big cosmetic companies and or amazon store the inventory and do the shipping and billing. Then you can earn extra income and still focus most of your attention on your local customers.
Just some thoughts, hope it helps.

I think it's really about personal preference. I used All in One for a while and I liked it as well, but I just find Yoast easier based on my preferences. But I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

1.) There are no disadvantages for hosting your do DE website on WA, unless it is a local marketing website. If that was the case, then you would need to host your site nearer the local business so that it will appear in local searches for that business.
2.) As to how much would it cost you to move your DE site to WA... only the registration will cost you. The hosting AND SSL certificate are BOTH included in the premium membership fees.

I currently pay 20 Euros a month for a WP hosted website in addition to the yearly domain holding fee of 9 Euros. The site is aimed at my city(Hamburg) and Germany generally. I remember being told that WA servers were and are super fast and would not pose a problem regarding loading speed. My main concern now is to save money - at 240 Euros a year - it's quite steep although the excellent service the hosting company provides regarding any problems of which are there are none to date have brought me to consider a move. What do you think - would it be a disadvantage to my services to host work my website from a State side hosted one? I am currently on page 2 of Google when one types in English trainings

Now that I understand better your predicament (cost), I can see why you are seriously considering moving your website to a WA server.
Your site could most definitely suffer a drastic drop in appearing in Hamburg search results by moving it from Hamburg (my maternal family is from there!) to a north eastern state in the United States.
However, if your SEO is done just right you could quit possibly rank even higher, but I cannot say so for certain.
So, here's what I would do... I would seek out a REAL expert on SEO (be prepared to pay for advice) and get their input (BEFORE moving the website), to see if it would be possible to rank the site even higher in Hamburg Google search results than it is right now, IF the site is moved offshore... especially given that the niche is English training.

I did a little affiliate marketing (but didn't click that one could make a living doing much more of this back then) when I sold some books via Amazon back in in the early to mid 2000s.
I'll see what I can do with a real SEO person on this side of the "Pond".

The online lawyers are having a field day at the moment selling all sorts of protection schemes! Many people are simply off line - the one man/woman bands due to the uncertainty of things. My English site is also off line at the moment but will have to buy legal package to protect me from predatory lawyers. I'd like to do some affiliate marketing here in Germany in the German language but I'll see. I write better in my native tongue, so I'll see.

Being a Canadian myself, I prefer to market to Americans simply because they have more surplus funds to purchase with (or credit, I'm not really sure) and as such they do more shopping than Canadians do, offline and/or online.
Genealogy is a passion of mine and I have been researching my UK roots for years now. Then, a cousin on my mother's father's side of my family and I arrived at the same decision at the same time. We wanted to know if we had any nasty Germans in our family.
Phhhheeew, our search stopped at 1821, with a John Spiers (my 3x great) who was 22 years of age, living in Hanover, Ontario, Canada and was recorded as being born in Canada. During my grandfather's era, the surname became anglicized in the spelling (for obvious reasons, is my guess).
Yeaaaah... in fact that made my maternal lineage more Canadian than my paternal branch.
Joseph Parr first appears in old Canadian records as early as 1831, and copies of all records that I have been able tp accumulate (my 2x great), has him being born in Ireland.... and to my guess-timation, sometime in 1811.
Would be awesome if you knew Spiers in Hanover Germany today.
