Hi all, i changed to Yoast last night, went through the set up wizard, imported my old all in one settings but now i have no visability of my traffic in google analytics.

You have to add the site map that yoast
Generates to Google Analytics

thanks, i'll look in to it ;-)

Marion did a good training video on this:

thanks, will check it out

Hi all, just a quick question, how seriously should we be taking the site health in regards to the amount of plugins you have installed on your site?

I'm having a hard ti

thanks, thats interesting to know. Seems like every time I add a new one the plugin percentage just keeps dropping on site health, im trying to keep the number down although I did see Jay's screen share on training the other day and he had quite a lot so I guess |I need to take everything into account

Site health can be measured by many things and although a particular plugin can slow down your site it might not be the cause.
I have 15 plugins on my wordpress and never had any problems.

How do you minimise the amount of plugins on a site?

Hi there, I have just purchased a domain name and really want it to be a .co.uk, is this possible with WA or do we all have to stick with .com still?

Thanks

Rob</

sorted it, just followed the instructions in WA. up and running with a brand new site on .co.uk!

Great!

I don’t know if you can purchase a co.uk here but, if you register one with another registrar, you should be able to point it here and use it.

Your Domain, call it what you want to and it can still be hosted here within WA.

if you have purchased a domain name then it stays as you have purchased it.
I don't think sitedomains can sell .co.uk sites, so this would have to be purchased outside wa - you can point the nameservers here to host it. so you get all of the benfits of being here.
I don't think you can move it to wa as they don't deal in .co.uk domains.
good luck
phil

Hi all, just need a bit of input on a review i'm currently writing. It features a round up of 8 similar products and pros and cons of each.

Is it ok to put 'check price

Yes, there is no a number specified. But I think 5 links is more than sufficient...

There is no set number of affiliate links you can use in one article, however having 8 different affiliate links will most likely be regarded as spam by Google. A good way around could be something like a feeder page from where you link to the review page. Also, when you share your review on social media, you will get targeted traffic from there. Some people get more targeted traffic from their social media accounts than through organic searches.
Regarding the 'check price' buttons, I think it's a good idea and when visitors get there through your feeder page or social media accounts, you don't need to worry about having too many affiliate links on your page.

Thanks for your reply, i will have a link to the review from a blog post with no affiliate links in it, but either way if i do that or not google will still see the page as spam like you said? Because it is a round up im linking each product with two or more store link options- i know there are other much bigger sites which do this , still a bit confused the best way to do it!...

Linking there from another blog post will be the best option. If Google regards the review page as spam, it just means it won't index it but you can still get there via your feeder page, and if that's indexed and ranked in a good position, you will get a good amount of traffic to your review page.

Hi all, I need a bit of advice, I've had my website for nearly 2 years now as a .com. The only affiliate links i'm using in the US so far is amazon and the other links are UK

If you are targeting UK only, go for co.uk
If not, choose .com.

I don't believe it will have an effect on your google search results.
Why not check in your Google Console and find out where your visitors are coming from?
Robert-A

thanks, yea mainly US visitors, I guess i'll look closer at my content creation

No probs and there's always Amazons International link for all countries.

Robert

.co.uk domains aren’t available through WA...I checked aswell also being based in the UK.

.com domains should give your website more exposure to a larger audience as they are more frequently searched than .co.uk domains.

As long as you are targeting keywords within your content and getting traffic, then your website should be ranked higher in a google search no matter the domain.

Tom

Hi Tom, thanks for your suggestions, i'll focus more on keyword and content creation
