if its a no-no i'd like to know the reasons why. Also does it affect the blog in a way? (im sure if its a top notch brand they wont be using camera photos for their blog) just

iPhone images are totally fine! Though they now use the HEIC format, so you may need to download a converter to get them into JPG or PNG to upload to your website.

Also, you may need to resize them. A lot of times, iPhone photos are 3000+ pixels in size, which is too large for your average blog post size and will take long to load.

Wow I didn’t expect such an in-depth answer, and quick too of course, you’re known for that :) “pardon my late response” and thank you for answering in with details. #NowIKnowMore

Hey Robert,

Whenever it is possible to use my own images (recipes for example) I use my own images.

What makes you ask this question, have you a specific image you are wondering about?

If you have an image of a person, you need to make certain to have written permission to use that person's image.

Thank you for answering and sharing your experience.

No reason not to take your own images. It solves a huge problem with copyrighted images from others.
Make sure that you resize them to optimize them for the web.

Hey Labman glad you’re still here.

Well that is true, any problem solved is a peace of mind. Thank you for the tip, I will keep the resizing in mind.

How do I upload my profile picture from Gravatar into my WordPress blog?

I started another gravatar account thinking I did something wrong... basically the email I use t

It looks like you did it right and you should see your pic when you reply to a comment on your site.

Thank u for ur comment Forrest, My site is still a skeleton, I have wasted too much time on this. But I’m not giving up..

So far what I learned is I need a webmail. Not a regular gmail account..

I’m still figuring this out.

You're welcome and if you have your own domain name, it is very easy to set up your email.

Go to site manager and at the top of the screen click email.
Setting it up is self-explanatory

Other than that, if you are just starting out, don't let yourself get overwhelmed with it all.
These things will become second nature very quickly but, just follow the step by step training and do what Kyle tells you... when he tells you to do it.

If you haven't gotten to something yet in the training, then don't worry about it until you do get to it.

Good luck to you

Thank you again. I been reading the training here and comments, seems like I’m not the only having trouble with Headache-tar I mean Gravatar lol..

However when I went into manage my site I did notice my picture popped up but it doesn’t show in the backend of my site, I’m sure I will figure this out..

Glad to see there are several trainings on this showing how to grasp this topic from different angles.

Thanks for your words of encouragement.

All the best

If you are using Morevago it is a software used to display real reviews and increase sales, let me know what are your thoughts?

Hey Robert,

Personally, I would look for a free plugin and test to see if this might actually work. This is just a thought, and I hope you don't mind my adding my 2¢ worth to your question.

Example: Popups, Welcome Bar, Optins and Lead Generation Plugin – Icegram

I don’t mind at all, I’m glad u responded, that is great info you just shared and I will look into them. Thank you again truly grateful

I may answer my own question here..

let’s say I run a coffee shop and I have a website for it that I wanted to monetize,

would i build the digital side of t

If you ran a coffee shop, you could have a shopping area for things like coffee or tea (coffee.org), coffee mugs or tea cups (Etsy.com), coffee makers (AliExpress.com). I wouldn't write long articles on these items, as it would take away from the brick & mortar location, but you could promote these items as "Robert's Coffee Shop loves these products".

Oh wow thank you for your response idk how I missed your comment. I like the links you shared thiis I’m sure will be helpful.
Robert

You can monetize ANY website in multiple ways. If you have a local coffee shop website, you can still add blog posts/articles, and still link out to other companies with affiliate links. Maybe your shop sells fresh coffee, but you can link out to coffee bean suppliers, coffee making tools, etc with affiliate links.

That way your website will drive traffic to your brick and mortar business, but also make money with affiliate marketing.

Thank you so much Nathaniell this really helped

watch Live Classes Videos, the recordings of Local SEO sessions.

another way to monetize the actual site could be to find retail products of what you prepare/sell in your coffee shop and review them (as long as there is an affiliate program for them, and as long as it does not make your coffee shop look overpriced)

you could have an opt in list to email local customers about specials when available at the shop

etc...

Thank you for a detailed response and the ideas I will look into those classes

Build a site to promote the coffee shop.

You'd build the website and market using Local SEO.
