SEO For Images
Optimizing Visual Content For Organic Traffic
Hello Folks
Search Engine Optimization of text content is relatively easy. However, you also need to optimize your visual content for the search engines.
Unlike text, images cannot be read by search engines. You need to tell the search engines what the image is displaying. This can be done using Titles and Alt Tags so that the search engines can read them.
The Alt Text provides information to search engines regarding the content of your media files. Likewise, the title text can be used to further describe what exactly the content is about.
You should be adding your main keywords to the Alt Text and Title Text as they can make your content seem more relevant to Google. Images can even catch the attention of people who are visiting your website. So, make sure you use high-quality content.
A Measure Of Your Success
You need to continuously keep track of how well your SEO strategy is working. Track your progress on a regular basis to figure out what’s working and what’s not.
You should analyze the daily organic traffic that you get from searches. Keep track of your links and remove any that are broken. You should also check which keywords you’re ranking for and which pages are ranking under each keyword. This way, you can find out how successful your SEO strategy is.
There you go folks now make sure you use those Images to their full advantage and get those Image Titles, Alt Text and Description spot on.
Have a great week and be successful.

great ideas Robert! Maybe a dumb question but I'm still learning: How do I access the alt-tags?
Or do these just come up as I'm designing my web page?
Thanks Ken
I guess you mean the alternative text of an image. If so, when you insert a picture in your post through media to your right there are several boxes to fill in the URL, image title, legend, alt text and description.
Thanks Tommy, yes that is exactly what I was asking. I'm finally getting time and energy to push forward on building my site. Thanks again for the help!
