Is your Website Content Letting You Down?
Hi Folks
Is your site content letting you down in the Search Engine Ranking Pages? I know that sometimes I know I could have written a better post if I had only taken the time or just had more time.
Recently I have taken to using an SEO tool for tracking down these posts that could have long term repercussions with regard to my site's ranking in the SERPs
There are quite a few ways to track down those posts that could be harming your site and as I said I have started using a method.
This tool is called Screaming Frog, and with it I can download my pages/posts and look through them to find what I believe could be better.
When you find those that you think need some more work you should create a list of the URLs or Titles so that you can go back to them when you have the time. (it could take some time if there are a lot).
There is a free version of the tool and a paid one and as you can see from the image it covers quite a lot of other tasks you might like to perform on your site. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there are some more tools you can try out.

Hi Robert, is Screaming Frog easier to use then some of the other free versions out there you have tried?
Hello Kaju, I have to say that's its as easy as you can make it for you.
It will depend on how long it takes you to understand it and use it to good effect.
I use it simply because it allows me to look at and download posts that I believe need an overhaul.
I can then save them for further investigation when I have the time to do so.
This is especially useful if there is duplicate content.
I don't mean whole articles, just some parts might be duplicated elsewhere within my site and that's not very good seo.
I published another blog on SEO Tools last year or perhaps in 2015 but I much prefer this tool(s).

Thanks Robert. My goal this week is to review at least 20 posts and try and get them tip-top. I have never heard of this tool and will be glad to use it!

It never does any harm to go over previous posts to see if they could stand a wee bit of an overhaul.
I just use the free version but another commenter (Sylvia) uses the paid version and she agrees its a great tool as well.
Worth a try anyway and it wont cost you anything but a wee bit time.
