How To Save Yourself Some Money And Do Your Own On-Page SEO

Hello Folks

My blog for the weekend is about how you can and should improve your websites on-page seo.

Your On Page SEO is important so you should take the time and make sure its spot on. Its just as important as your internal and external link building. Take note of the four main areas below the graphic you will need to get right if you are to stand any chance of your site being placed in the top 5 of the SERPs. (Search Engine Ranking Pages).

A lot of marketers actually pay someone to do this task for them because it can be quite difficult if not complicated to get it right. I personally use a plugin to save that expense.

On-Page SEO Example: (right click and choose - open in new tab to enlarge)

According to Tina Courtney (http://www.sitepronews.com/author/tina-courtney-brown/) - an online marketer, and one of my favourite writers - The main areas you will want to focus on are:

  • Optimized URLs:You want to ensure that URLs are easy to read and relatively short. They should inform the reader of the page’s contents and include a primary keyword.
  • Title Tags:These let bots know what the page is all about. Include the page’s dominant keyword, keep text under 70 characters, and make sure that it is still easily understandable.
  • Keyword Frequency:Ensure that your targeted keywords appear several times throughout the body of your text, but don’t stuff or have anything read unnaturally.
  • Description:This won’t give you any preference in the SERPs, but it will among readers, and more traffic does impact your rankings. Be sure to optimize this section by giving a compelling overview of the page’s contents.

So if like myself you want to save yourself some money you should get your on-page seo sorted out yourself. This way, while saving yourself some money you can still provide good quality of work.

Anyone else who has some tips and advice to pass on can do so via a comment below.

Have a great weekend folks.

Why Need WP On-Page SEO Plugin?

You may be relatively new to Search Engine Optimization and you don't know exactly how to optimize your posts for search engines like Google.

Even if you do know that your posts and pages should be optimized for the search engines, you never really do it. There are just too many details like "include the keyword in the title, URL, alt tag of images etc." Imagine doing this for 10s or 100ds of posts and pages. It would take weeks! Even if your content is great, it will never attract the traffic it deserves, if it's not properly optimized. If you optimize your posts better than your competitors, you have a better chance of getting higher rankings and traffic.

So does this plug-in do the same thing that Yoast or All In One SEO plug-ins?

You have to set it up for what you want it to do.
Set it up right though, do not mess up.
I'm off now as its getting late.
